10 wheel v rake works best with a 12 foot mower (doubled) with a 9 foot mower a 8 wheel works best. Those springs on the outside you talking about at the 6 minute mark can be adjusted for more or less pressure on the rake teeth, if you have them set for less pressure on the ground those springs have a lot more stress on them and they will break easier. With your 7 foot mower, you should easily be able to grab 3 rows at once! Nice rake man!
