If H1B denied, you have an option H1B cap exempt offered for positions in Healthcare systems, universities/higher ed. There are plenty of IT, analytical positions available with decent pay. Later, still you can go back to regular for profit H1B if selected in lottery next time.
Awesome answer. I will pin this comment. Hopefully people can use this info earlier in time. I particularly am not a big fan because it’s so hard to find those kind of jobs and if you get laid off you are kinda done as it’s hard to find work within 60 days in the same area.

Hii I have a question….my masters will be done in december 2023 and after then i will be on my opt period for 3 years, and next year its my marriage in may…. so if I got to india for my marriage and I have a job in US but m not on H1b , will I be able to come back to US??
what if immigration says that your study is complete and you can work in your country as well now…why you have to go back to US?? So what should I do in such a scenario?
