This was so uncomfortable, and that wasn't because of Jimmy... It was the way Hila and Ethan treated him. They were rude and professional to the guy, even if his content is a bit extreme (which I really don't find it that bad). They owe him an apology... Especially if he went back and watched what they said behind his back. Not cool h3h3, you're better than this.
Ve Mo they don’t owe him anything, the guy should have asked them before bringing someone on their show he was a guest and that’s rude as hell to show up with other people especially a cameraman that’s filming in their studio. Also how frustrating to try and ask this guy questions and he won’t answer instead he just throws out cringed unfunny jokes. Technically it’s their show and if they feel it’s not going well they can do whatever they want.
He should have asked. But their friends and they didn't even notice it till 10 minutes in. Then it went from 0 to 100 real quick. Which is unnecessary. They could have dealt with it better.
You guys saying Ethan and Hila were rude to Jimmy should watch the unedited version on Twitch. Jimmy was super rude and made some super inappropriate comments throughout the entire thing. Made fun of Hila's intelligence, Ethan's Tourette's syndrome, etc. they were super uncomfortable and it was just a bad podcast due to the guest. We know the H3 crew and how kind and accepting they are of their guests (SoFlo, Joey Salads, etc), but they don't accept shitty behavior and don't want that to reflect the future of their podcast.
Joshieboy Studios is it still possible to watch it? I think it would shed some light on why they chose to "abort" the podcast. I don't see a major problem with this version, so it would give some context. Sure, Jimmy was awkward but I don't think it was that bad.
The full unedited version is on twitch and yeah it was pretty uncomfortable. I don't have a huge problem with the content of Jimmy's jokes the problem I do have though is they're just not funny.
mcinnes97 Oh, okay. I'll have to see the unedited version. He might come off as tactless in this version, but not in a way that Ethan and Hila shouldn't be able to handle. So I guess they must have edit out the worst parts.
They didn't even prepare a real interview for him. They assumed he would act like an ass the entire time, but he actually took it seriously at the beginning until Ethan prompted him to roast him which unleashed the beast. They brought it upon themselves and then to go on and act condescendingly towards him is too low and fake af. This shed a new light on Ethan and especially Hila for me
They had the same kind of interview questions for him as they do all their guests though. And what do you mean he was taking it seriously until Ethan asked him to roast him? They couldn't even get him to answer the question "how are you" without him trying to turn it into an unfunny bit.
He wasn't taking it seriously at all. He was treating the interview like it was his stand up comedy special. They were trying to get a real interview out of him and he just wanted to make jokes.
right here sir: www.amazon.com/DuPont-QC122SYLMD00-Tychem-Coverall-Medium/dp/B00KJ20XZQ/ref=sr_1_2?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1502655288&sr=1-2&keywords=hazmat+suit
respect to hila for ending that camera crew situation. they came uninvited. she probably felt fucking uncomfortable with double cams in her face considering she's already shy enough. i'm so proud of the fact that she went from someone who couldn't talk in front of a camera to letting her opinion be heard.
I know! The vlogs they made with him were enough proof that they can't deal with this guy! They spent an entire afternoon with him and they only got like 10 minutes of worthy footage, how was he going to work for 2 or 3 hours LIVE STREAMING?
I watched this live and i came to watch the edited version now and the comments are blowing my mind here! People are upset with Ethan and Hila in this one sided shit interview? Dude they brought Jimmie Lee in to have a normal conversation with him, sit down, get to know him and have a great time (Like they do for everyone) get to know the man behind the memes. But since the first second he came in he messed it up. Its supposed to be a relaxed interview and the dude brings in a camera crew to film him to make himself feel important. Second he just wouldnt break character and stop telling dumb jokes for 2 seconds. You cant even talk with the guy. To blame Ethan and Hila for this guy acting like not even a real person in a place where he is supposed to be one is so fucking dumb. The only thing they could do is goof on him cause its either that or the interview would be painful (implying it wasnt already). I dont blame them at all for ending up goofing on the guy after awhile cause they couldnt do anything with him. So dont put this on H3 it was Jimmies fault lets be honest. If they can make So Flo and Martin Shkreli look like decent people than you cant blame H3 here for giving up on Jimmie. They tried. One fucked up dentist is just to....fucked up lmao
I wish a lot of people close to ethan advise him to choose the guests better, not all memes make good guests and look at the mess in this comment section what the fuck
Jaru uhhh wrong. soflo and Martin made themselves look good. in no way did Ethan make them look good. they're both worse person Jimmie but Ethan was too much of a bitch to go in. he had no problem harassing the less popular Jimmie though. Jimmie went out of character several times. and if you have a dinner with someone (like they did with Jimmie) they should have known how'd he be. this is a podcast. don't fucking mistreat your guest. and if you do don't cherry pick and mistreat the one's you think you can get away mistreating. jimmie was nice genuine and open. h3h3 just fucked this podcast up and all you guys defending him are blinding him to the truth. LET HIM KNOW HE FUCKED UP
Yeah SodaGG i agree. But its kinda Ethans thing so he kinda free balls it and doesnt listen to Hila it seems lmao i think he said in a recent stream that they should probably stop with the memes and bring in actually entertaining people since these guys are to unpredictable. But then again he said that and shortly after he said he wanted to bring the 34 year old virgin on to try and get him dates so i think he wont let up hahah
Luis Gonzalez Uuuhhhh i dont think it was one sided with SoFlo and Martin. Did you watch the chat during those streams? Everyone wanted them off. Ethan asked all of these people weird questions and goofed on them but then he asked normal questions to. Ethan made all of them seem human besides Jimmie here cause he wouldnt stop joking around so Ethan gave up after awhile and made fun of him since he didnt want to actually have a interview. Also hints why it was such a short interview too haha. Plus they went to dinner with him for a video and he was a goofy weirdo at dinner but they probably thought he was being like that since they were recording the entire thing. So they invited him to this to see if he could act normal since this is the place for it and he didnt. Ethan goofed on everyone of his meme guests. They were laughing right to Martins face on the podcast but he just handled it well unlike Jimmie. Ethan didnt do anything different here than the other interviews. Jimmie didnt get singled out cause Ethan just wanted to pick on him he singled him out after awhile because he was the first to not act like a normal person lol simple as that. Its his fault.
@@linusdn2777 He's fucking disgusting. He uses bad jokes Ethan: He's been emailing me ... Hila: But I blocked him just to disgrase the guy, then he used the "hilarious" line Ethan: Hey jimmy do me a favor, take those glasses off youre making a spectacle of yourself Wow, very funny. Hillarious. He just straight forward bullys the guy while reading up a script with badly written bully jokes. Nothing hillarious about it. Just ... sociopathic.
@@exapsy Yeah, it baffles me how low Ethan has become, after knowing of his true intentions, I'm just really disappointed in him, been a loyal subscriber of his channels for quite a while. I'm just glad I got to know the truth after watching Gokanarus video.
@@gremlinwraith3847 I feel exactly the same. I thought he was more of a down to the ground guy. Turns out he's not really more than an arrogant bully seeking for attention.
@@exapsy Why are you tripping on about BS when you lack the context of the dialogue. The Jersey Outlaw has been known to use this same phrase on countless victims. I think making antisemitic, racial jokes is not the best of ideas, misogynistic dick jokes are so 2002s.
I feel like Erik could be a nice balance for these living meme segments. Hila was pretty uncomfortable this episode, Ethan being the last line of defense of the dad jokes.
It definitely seemed risky to just have Ethan and Hila alone with Jimmy. Erik would have been able to support them, knowing how to handle a guy like that, plus with a different perspective like with that Schkreli guy. He'd at least be a nice anchor, or a distraction if that makes sense
Studio Stupid I think this was an episode where he may have been useful I'm not sure if you saw the unedited version but this guy was weird being very nice with calling him weird.
At 23:00 he was being serious and honest for a bit, than Ethan ask him to roast them after he was out of his persona, which you can see that threw him off guard. I feel like too many people are hating on him, about not breaking character because he did, but Ethan encouraged him to go back into character.
I thought the exact same thing but you can't blame Ethan for not noticing right then and there, being a host is hard and very few have proven to be actually good and creative at it and even fewer can deal with complicated guests let alone guys like jimmy. Ethan couldn't possibly distinguish seriousness from bits in the heat of the moment so he probably thought "well, let's just meme out and get this over with"
Yeah man, imagine if Filthy Frank attended the show IN CHARACTER, obviously it would be a clusterfuck. This guy Jimmy's alright, he is cringy and that is something I enjoy watching, so I think this was actually a good episode, and have no idea why the audience is bitching.
On twitch when this aired everyone was in the chat saying to kick [one fucked up dentist] off the Livestream. When he was kicked off everyone wanted Erik (comment etiquette) on because he's not there
Yup that was awkward asf, and not on Jimmie's part either. He was a friendly guy with too many cheesy jokes but Ethan, I found, was being really bad towards him.
GalvakzaMusic yes and he kept stop and skipping foward on the videos jimmie wanted them to see even on the music video he was super proud of and I saw a different side of hila...
GalvakzaMusic jimmie went in in character because that's the reason he was even invited because he's one fucked up dentist he was doing his bit but they just seemed annoyed and were like okay whatever let's get this over with because even when he was out of character ethan made him go in character to roast them which idk why he would of it seemed like hila didn't even like jimmie at all or his type of humor idk I felt like hila talked a lot more then in other podcast but felt she was talking down to jimmie I felt bad for jimmie because he is just doing what he likes and trying to have a good time his type of humor might not be for everyone but it Seemed like they were just bing rude and kept cutting him off and talking down to him
Gaby G Exactly. Ethan complained that Jimmie couldn't be taken seriously, yet at the one stage he was being real, Ethan wasn't listening. I don't know why they were acting that way but it definitely annoyed me
GalvakzaMusic me too I felt bad for jimmie how they even kicked him out and were complaining how bad jimmie was ...he wasn't that bad ....this is the only time where I didn't like ethan or hila
This was a very uncomfortable podcast. If you think this edited version was bad, look at the full version on the Twitch video itsef. It took them forever to set up. The first 30 minutes was nothing but to get the show going. The after show Ethan, Hila, and Dan did a review of how it went. They tried the best they can to not devulge in details. But Ethan did say the show was the worst ever. Just look at Hila even on this version of the show. She had that fake, uncomfortable smile the whole time.
In all honesty Hila just sits there in all videos and podcasts, without saying a word, and when she does say something, it's usually something cringy as fuck. I understand she is shy of the camera but they are doing videos for 5 years or more and she's still there just to be there, at least Ethan is a funny goofball sometimes, but I agree that this was a shit podcast and Ethan getting offended by Jimmy cause he calls black people black it's fuckin retarded.
I think Ethan and Hila managed to get the real Jimmie out towards the beginning of the show but when Ethan invited him to roast them, it all went downhill from there. I actually thought Jimmie was quite interesting but his sense of humour is crude and over the line which makes some sense, considering his age. Yes, most of what he does is offensive but underneath, he's just an insecure old guy who wants to do something in his life now his business is basically sorted and done and he has the money to do what he really wanted to do.
You know what, I dont consider his humor offensive 'cause it doesn't come from an offensive place. I get him. People got too sensitive over the years and humor in general suffered from this.
Yeah but what he's saying, offensive or not, isn't funny. None of it really makes sense. Like thinking "Salvation Armani" is funny just because both "army" and "armani" have "arm" in them.
What does/did Ethan have against this guy? I mean Jimmie seems like a cool guy, he wasn't in any kind of hot water. It seems like Ethan just wants this guy to crash and burn. It's not even like Jimmie is competition against Ethan because they do COMPLETELY DIFFERENT things as entertainment.
They love Jimmie! He's an offensive comedian so they were offensive back in good fun. Also, this was live and twitch chat was telling them to kick him off lol. Watch the latest pod, they bring him back on
guevara148 The problem is they thought they could recreate the "salad effect." Not everyone has enough self awareness to realize when they act cringy/weird.
I think Skippy would try to assault Hila or have a breakdown. Or he'd have his mom there. Ethan would ask a question too real and Skippy would skip a beat. You see the comments on some of his videos giving him real advice, and he just ignores it. He's in a world of delusion, and there's a of lot tension there to break. It's unsafe to have him on the podcast. Ethan needs to do an interview format for cringier guests. Just him and the guest. Not on the podcast. This shit hurts my soul. Or just don't have cringey guests at all.
It always seems to be the older crowd that's the most cringe-y to watch. They're trying to hard to get with the younger audience. Jimmy tries to hard, even Hugh Mungus Rudy was kinda hard to watch with some of his lame jokes and stories. Good guys but try hards. The only normal one out of the bunch is probably Boogie. Overall Boogie is just a nice, eloquent speaker that's always been in with videogames and nerd culture.
Imagine being shy and having to talk to a socially awkward guy with sunglasses on while there's three cameras staring at you, what Hila said was completely reasonable and not bitchy at all. It's there show anyway and there are already cameras filming him.
Veilsxde i truly hope you're joking. obviously hila never planned to be a youtuber. she's even talked about how unexpected it all is. she's always been working bts and now she's a little more in front of the camera. so your argument makes no sense.
Exactly, who the hell brings their own film crew for this shit?! She had a right to be annoyed. Especially as someone who is nervous in front of the camera anyway, it would put you right off. She had every right to call him out.
all she did was politely ask a single cameraman to go away. sure, good for her and everything but i dont think its necessarily her "calling out someone for their shit". im pretty sure any reasonable adult would have done the same in her situation, nothing special here.
True, they keep propagating "but she's camera shy" oh fuck off. If she's still camera shy by now then don't go on the bloody podcast. No ones forcing her to. Look at 52:20. Also about the camera crew, sure it's slightly unreasonable assuming he didn't say he was bringing them. Do we know that? No, so stop making up shit.
I can't stand how much jimmy is trying to be funny, like i can feel that he's not naturally funny so he tries so hard that it gets so cringey and annoying
Jimmie kinda reminds me of David Brent from the (British) Office. The singing, the sense of humor. He dresses like Arnold, though. And there's a little bit of Lloyd Kaufman in him, too. :D
liquidpebbles I agree, also those "jokes" seem to be lifted from in real life, or jokes you'd find from googling "offensive jokes/ burns" lol. Also nice Ween profile pic, my dude
sean mcd of course, I don't like the guy at all but he isn't harmful, kinda of a dick for some people but who isnt? also he recognizes himsel as some of a character so its all good
Can't believe the dude brought multiple of his own camera men... I commend Ethan and Hila for being so professional in dealing with him and his antics during the podcast. Also I liked having Dan do the news segment at the table with you guys after the guest left. Not sure if this will be a new thing, or if it was just because Jimmie had to leave, but I enjoyed it. Great work with the podcast guys. Papa Bless Laat update: really hoping the shorter podcasts don't become the new normal. I love getting 2-3 hours of chilling with H3 every week!
Man Jimmie seems like a nice (but strange) guy, but for some reason Ethan just wasn't reacting to what Jimmie had to say, and I hate to say it but I think Hila was pretty rude. I think she just decided from the get go that she didn't like him and just refused to be nice.
And hila is NOT a bitch when she asks him to leave, holy hell. She's uncomfortable so she speaks up politely and the podcast moves on. Good on her for taking charge instead of being quiet about it the whole time
The segment itself was fine, but Ethan kept on interrupting him all the time and missing everything he said. It got tedious and overly long because Erik had to repeat everything twice to Ethan
Pickle Jar The guy with the bleached hair? I found him unfunny and cringey and he took attention away from the guests they had on. Just my opinion though. The conspiracy closet thing seems like it would get very old very fast as well.
I want eric back, this coming from a guy who doesn't watch erics solo stuff I get that some fans don't like him but I feel like he's essential, this felt kinda hollow without him and I can tell ethan and hila are very uncomfortable about it aswell edit: and I miss the conspiracy closet damnit
Wtf is wrong with you guys? You're so cruel to this guy. He did nothing and here you are talking smack about him before he's arrived, When he's in the toilet and when you kick him off..
hila literally wasn’t rude at all, she had every right. Theres 3 cameras and she couldn’t focus. They take the podcast seriously and she had every right for the right production.
TheAmazingGurpo the guest brought people who weren't invited. the guest bullied her husband about his tourettes. the guest bullied her about her intelligence. she had all the right in the world.
I feel like there's a difference between jimmy and my boi Hugh Mungus, or even Ryan Jauzemus. Rudy and Ryan embrace the meme, and they can clearly see the difference between their act and themselves in the real world. I think it's kind of obvious that jimmy is almost always is meme mode. Not saying it was a bad podcast, or that living memes are bad people. But I just feel like jimmy's chemistry is a lot more stiff than some other guests. For this reason I also think that Skippy shouldn't be on the podcast, because I feel like he's as weird as he was on the show as he is in real life. *Hila Kleiner for life*
I feel like after the commercial break, the mood lightened up a lot, especially after Ethan said the "tone it down or kick it up" thing, and I'm glad 'cause I honestly think Jimmie Lee deserves to be famous, he's a cool dude and his "offensive" humor doesn't come from an offensive place, so I love him ♥
I know it may seem two-faced, but you've got to be seen as, not so much agreeing with, but more just 'not' disagreeing with your guests, or disapproving of them. You can question them, but a lot of time it comes down to tone. That's why this gets awkward, because your emotional negativity towards this guy can be seen. I'd only amend that if it came time to get confrontational, don't do it half-assed.
Jimmie Lee: “Listen to the chorus a little bit more, just let it play from where you were.” Ethan: *rewinds the video half way back lets it play for two seconds then closes it*
Reason I like H3H3 cause they insult but they know these people are lovable and they atleast try not to be rude, this time they really dug into this guy, it's suppose to be a conversation not interrogation, idk it's their podcast but this one was out of touch idk it's just an old guy tryna be funny
Jimmy's content is such a trip that after the intro of this episode, I was shocked to see him come on screen even though I knew it was gonna be him on the show
Channels affiliated with RT are the only gameplay channels that do something different, CowChop is probably the best one of them. Also James is one of the biggest reasons gameplay videos got big on youtube.
