So Beautiful. You have just the right sounds to picture the Haar leaving it’s dewy breath sparkling on the cool air and warm earth. So Beautiful. I can almost smell it.
This is indeed beautiful and enchanting, Ailie! There is a similar phenomenon in Hawaii called Vog (not sure of spelling) as it is similar to fog, but differs in that some people develop an allergy to it.
I just found that in the Netherlands we actually have the same word, although not used any more... I think all north-sea countries may have kind the same phenomenon. Haar may even originate in the Dutch word haare. 2. harig - HARIG, bn. (-er, -st), (gew.) dampig, mistig, met scherpen damp of nevel vervuld wat is de lucht harig; - eene harige zon, niet duidelijk zichtbaar, bij heiig weer; - ruw, ruig, ten gevolge van droogte of verkoudheid harige lippen, mijne keel is harig. HARIGHEID, v. het harig zijn van de lucht.
