My mother passed away and he's so lonely and sad he's talking to these criminals that lie to him for his money. I've been telling him that it's a man stealing his money not the girl he thinks it is.

Pierogi, you shutdown a call number and you were not even here. I had a scammer call me and I called them back several times just to tie up their line what I was listening to one of your shows in the background. So I had this bright idea, I would call them repeatedly and just hold the phone up next to the speaker while you were doing your packing on the computer. It took about forty times of calling them before they disconnected that number, but I did tie up at least 2 hours of their time. Thank you for your help, and all your hard work!

I would like to see pierogi and those guys being able to do that but they’re gonna have to set up a debit card or something like that on a separate bank account where if they try to scam back on him I only have like say maybe 35 $40 in the account that way they can’t try to rip them off at the restaurant, but that would be neat. I have never worked retail or grocery stores, but maybe any store that sells gift cards could train employee's to speak up and question large sales of gift cards. That cashier or employee might be the last line of defence before a victim buys the gift cards and sends the codes.

The state where these call centres are located is ruled by a criminal element and she would never take action against these people. The adjacent two states like Jharkhand and Bihar are equally criminal, but the only reason why Americans are somewhat safe from them is because these idiots don't know English.

I was scammed too. Reported to FTC, my bank, and police in the countries my scammer claims to be in. I have his phone number and he was apparently approached by police but no arrest yet. He told me he was working on a team of scammers.

To clarify, I had my business account at Bank of America.. so a few years back before I knew about skimmer devices I used my card at the gas station, paid at the pump and they took every penny out of my account. Well the rules state you have to have a police report in order for the bank to fix it , but to get a police report you need the camera footage so they know you're not lying. Well I went back to the gas station they said the cameras were down, I went to the surrounding businesses and the pump I happened to use no one had the angle, so no footage, no report, no help.. so I lost it all. Nothing I can do. Then I went to a state website like a legitimate state of CT site. To get a business loan to save my business, well Im still unsure how this happened but this loan company got access to my new Wells Fargo account and they took more. It's being investigated. But wait there's more, then I never received any stimulus, not 1 because someone took a first time home buyers loan out in my name. So the IRS explained that they were keeping all my stimulus money to pay back that loan. Which I never took out. So during COVID I lost my business and money, twice, couldn't get financial help because I file as a self employed so a 99 and my stimulus paid back a loan I never took out . To top it off I had to stop working to suddenly take care of my blind mom. So ya. I'd say I was fucking scammed. None were of my fault but I literally couldn't fix it.

Email scams are becoming very sophisticated. Here in the UK, a popular one is that you receive a message 'confirming your purchase' on eBay for some expensive item you didn't order. The idea is that you panic and contact them back with your log-in and payment details. There is a similar one where you get a message saying you've shipped a parcel with DHL or whatever, to make you think someone is using your stolen card details. Again you are supposed to panic and call them to provide the details they need to steal your money. There are many, many more like this.

We receive many phone calls from the Kentucky area of the USA where many Indians live. They always tell me that my mastercard has been hacked and someone has helped themselves to MY MONEY. I am amused. I do not have a mastercard at all. Never ever took out one. I always behave very calmly and tell the caller to let the thief now that they can take as much money as they want to,. They do not know what to say after that. The phone goes silent for a moment then they ask how much is able to be accessed on my card. I teel them they can take all that is on the card. After another moment they hang up. Every 3 months here in Brisbane QLD we get a series of spam calls. I report the local numbers on which they call so that our phone number suppliers can cancel this number. Their Indian voices are so easy to pick even when they use a pretend British sounding name.

I just happened to watch this. When I was scammed, I had been sick, with covid, and thought I had lost my credit card. I was told my credit card just made a purchase for 5k.for child porn and they would reverse that money by this special procedure. Bottom line, I went into " freeze" mode, meaning the amygdala part of the brain freezes, complete panic. I was told they were in Contact with my police, and helping me catch the person who had used my cc card to buy child porn. I believed them. Then as I went out to the car, I was so hot, due to 96 degree heat, my thirst, took me out of the Fear. I turned off phone and was on my way home from buying the 500 gift cards. Then I thought, good grief, the guy is calling me back? they are yelling at me? Duh! I was being scammed. Thank you for putting this out there. Hope someone like me reads this. If they have an accent, with an American name, like Wayne, first clue 😮
