Yes, that was the most accurate approximation of "hacking" I've seen in video format, however Wikipedia is free to edit by anyone with a free account so hacking is unnecessary and those changes would be quickly reverted.

these kind of video has been made, to fool peoples that they are now secure from hackers. facts, hacking is a BORING time consume activity for some peoples, but the feels is more like those movies. :) it is fast at execution attack. but boredom at coding.

Hacking changes based on what exactly it being hacked, hacking a website differs from hacking a pc. Normally for a website, a hacker has to insert their own line of code on the website. This can happen if a search bar or comments section hasn't been properly 'cleaned'. Once malicious code enters the site, the hacker will either use the breach to receive the admin login details or if the security was exceptionally shit, completely take over the website. If a hacker gets admin details, it over, you have no choice but to shut down the site and change login details. Hacking a PC is simultaneously easier and harder. The most common hacks are programs or executables, businesses are usually the targets of these attacks because most of them use Microsoft office, Windows 10 and outlook. One method is hiding an Exe file as something else, like a pdf. For an example a file may be called baconiscoolassignment.pdf.exe but Windows will view it in short as baconiscoo...pdf. If you try to open the file, Windows will run it as a program and once that happens you've lost. in all likelihood, it'll install something be it ransomware or password scanner. Another method is sending a malicious file and hoping the recipient has outlook. The outlook app downloads attachments for every email you receive. This is why I never use mail apps on pc, the extra convenience isn't worth the security risk. Be warned, these aren't the only methods. Hackers will use any weak spot they can to access your pc, if you have a website, they'll do anything they can to get it to spread malicious programs and files. Stay safe, You can never be too cautious on the Internet.
