What is the musical Hadestown about? Director Rachel Chavkin and Composer Anaïs Mitchell are here to tell you. Plus, an exclusive look into the Hadestown rehearsal room at the National Theatre in London.
Celebrated singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and director Rachel Chavkin have transformed Mitchell’s acclaimed concept album into a genre-defying new musical that mixes modern American folk music with vintage New Orleans jazz to reimagine a sweeping ancient tale.

You do know there are full versions of the UK and the Edmonton previews, right? Like, in full High Definition/High Quality versions. They're super simply to find.

I am so grateful to the people who provide versions like that. I also wish there were ways to make the show more accessible to a wider audience (i.e. people who can't afford Broadway tix or travel to NYC). This show is meaningful, powerful, it has something so crucial and transformative to say (especially in these times) - just wish a lot more people could get the opportunity to hear.
