Hello! I really appreciate all your videos, they have come very handy in breaking down most of the material covered in my class. I wanted to ask if you could cover the renal system? It is difficult to understand with all the different steps taking place inside and outside the kidneys. Your videos would be very much helpful, hope you consider it. Thank you!

It would be appreciated if you explained the biofeed back for Haematopoiesis. I understand Haematopoiesis encompasses all the cells of the blood but Erythropoietin is the feedback for red blood cells from the kidneys. When O2 levels drop the kidneys release Erythropoietin in response to the O2 levels. Is the level of Bilirubin monitored for the destruction of red blood cells? Your videos are great!!!!!!!

3:27 A biology student I know once had to describe a red blood cell on a test. Lots of students failed that question. They wrote everything down you wrote here, but they forget to write that red blood cells are red.

can you explain me why our body don't absorb much from 78% of nitrogen?? i know it has to do with Hb which is helping oxygen and CO2 but why not nitrogen?? any other good explanation ?
@haydararslan4946
@haydararslan4946 7 лет назад
The simplest way to deal with the amino group would be to remove it from the amino acid directly, releasing the nitrogen as free ammonia (NH3). Unfortunately, ammonia is extremely toxic and would quickly kill the organism if not promptly removed.
@therealconniefrancis
@therealconniefrancis 5 лет назад
The body cannot use any nitrogen compounds to produce energy so it has to convert the amino group to NH4+ and then either use it for synthesis or excrete it as urea. Also the body cannot use dinitrogen from the atmosphere. Do some research on "Nitrogen fixation".
