It is a stretch to call Icelandic people "vikings". Probably the least amount of vikings of the Nordic countries (Except for Finland of course) . Some were descendants of former vikings before they settled on Iceland, but there were also a lot of British/gaelic slaves. Sweden, Norway and Denmark were the true original vikings that initiated raids hundreds of years before the first men even set their foot on Iceland.
