see this item on Amazon tinyurl.com/33a... Space-saving portable compact electronic 1 cubic ft. top load washer HLP21N This is what I use to dry the clothes tinyurl.com/3el...
It ended up being an installation issue. Pieces came not attached with no explanation but a quick call and it was fixed with no charge. Thanks for the reply!
I've still been using this little machine. It's still working great, but it's most def. best to do a little laundry each day. I usually wash about 8 shirts at a time (it will hold more). If I wash jeans I wash two at a time. I think they'll enjoy this washer as long as they wash some each day =-)
yes, this is a cool little machine. still using mine after all this time. it's def saved me a lot of money of the last couple years. good luck in your washing machine search =-)
it looks the same as this small load, only larger lol - I usually do not fill the machine to capacity. I find it works best with smaller loads. something like 8-10 shirts, or 2 pairs of jeans, etc...
@far1ander I usually wash with cold water, mostly because it saves money =) but, when called for I'll use hot water. The machine will not heat the water for you. Hope this helped =)
@arria07 Did you by chance level the machine with a level? Also, when washing it's very important to keep the feet locked down, and to make sure the clothes in the machine are balanced and not overloaded =)
haha nope, just a happy customer. i'm sorry to hear you've had problems, but I've not had the problems that you mentioned. I hope you find something to your liking =-)
@SmartBomb7 that stinks! sorry to hear - I'm trying to remember if I had any problems... don't recall.. did you try using a wrench by chance? I hope you get it all figured out =)
Hi Brian, i got an issue with mine. Does yours have the auto balance feature ? basically when it spins and it "sense" the tub is unbalance (not the base level), it stop spinning and refill with water and rise 2 more time to "hopefully" balance the load. Well , mine cant spin at all and stuck at this auto balance process forever. Without any clothes or very small (few pair of shocks), it can finish spin. Anything more than that, it stuck as said above. Care to share if you experience this?
@frigginjoe If you give the to your sister I'd say your a nice fellow haha - yeah this smaller unit is great! I've go no complaints so far. The only thing I did was replace the drainage hose with a more sturdy one - I bought it at Lowes.
Mine worked ok for about 3 times, then it started leaking where the hose goes into the washer and it squirts water all over. I noticed yours was already hooked up when the video started. Any idea what might be causing this?
Can you set it to "spin only" for when you hand wash items?? I only have cold water in the cabin, (unless I heat some on the stove) but the reservoir is just cold water, that'll still work fine tho??
yes it will all I use is cold water to wash, hot water is for super soiled clothes but now days by some Borax and add it to the wash and your soap will do fine
@emilydrabant thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you found my video helpful. My wife and I have been using our little washer everyday now for the past 5 or 6 months. This little machine as easily been the best purchase we've made in a long time. We use it exclusively, so it saves us from the laundromat =) One thing I would recommend is replacing the drainage hose with a more durable one. You can find them at any hardware store for 10 bucks or less. Keep us all posted =)
I purchased a portable washing mashine (HLP23E) from Haier 2 months ago and after 1 month of working it stopped draining. It smells very bad during spining like the motor is burnt. I have called the customer service more than 20 times and they are nor able to send somebody to fix this neither want to replace this. I DO NOT RECOMMEND their washing machine to anybody. Customer service is the worse I have ever seen. I plan to dispose this machine.
does it come with dirty laundry or do you have to supply that? If you put food coloring in the water will that ruin the clothes? Does it take Tide or Era? What time did you do the load you showed us? Do you think I could make a huge tub of soup in this unit? Does it come with batteries in case I'm camping? You said it is on wheels? Could the kids use it as a go-cart or would that ruin the unit? Does it slide under the bed when not in use? I need to know the answers - I want to buy one....
Thank you for this service dude - I do have a few questions.......If I ever get married and have a baby - can I bathe the baby in this unit? Now I obviously understand you would not put the baby through the spin cycle but the wash and rinse I imagine would work well - would I have to poke holes in the plastic top for the baby to breathe or is there enough air in there? Also have you tried doing the dishes in this unit? Will my hubcaps fit in the unit? Mom's dentures? Will they be ruined?
one more question Brian and it is a tad graphic so please forgive me beforehand - we only have one bathroom here in our flat.....in case of emergencies........do you think...??
I told you not to make soup in this thing dude - I heard you screwed it up and now you're packing it with ice and salt to make ice cream with it?? messed up.....
Thank you for this presentation. I am considering buying this model, and I needed to get some info. Your's was short and to the point. How many things such as towels and sheets can you wash? Thanks again and God bless all.
@dyanne1020 I actually had a leak develop in the hose near the bottom of the washer where it comes out of the hole. The tubing developed a small hole, and I think it was caused by the friction. I went to Lowes and bought a better hose ($10) and replaced it. I've not had a problem since. Also, I called Heir and they sent me a new hose to replace the defective one, but I just keep it in storage just in case. That's the only place I've experienced any problems. I'm happy I've had non since.
We just got one of these and I am wondering how loud it is to my neighbors that live beneath us. Are you on the top floor? I love this thing, it works so good and was worth buying. It was $275 at Walmart if anyone is interested. Sears has them also, but they cost a little more.
My machine is still working good. I have replaced the gray drainage hose with a more strudy one from lowes, but otherwise it's still in good shape. You could probably get away with 6 people so long as you wash your bigger items in a larger machine - I have never used bleach but I have used fabric softer.
glad you liked it. no, there's not a filter inside the machine that I'm aware of - at least nothing that is removable. their is a small particle filter on the hose from the faucet to the machine, but that's the only filter I"m aware of. as a side note, I've been using this machine for over a year now and it still works great! for the price you can't go wrong with this one =-)
@MeLinhLam I'm sorry to hear about the problem you are having. I havn't experienced this for myself so I don't have an helpful solutions - except that you call the constumer support people. I have called them before and they helped me resolve my issue by sending me a new/replacement part. I really hope you are able to solve this issue =)
I bought mine on the amazon website and think it was around 200-250 dollars at the time. It works great! We do all of our laundry in this little machine, with the exception of the blankets from the bed. The spinning is very fast and my cloths dry easily enough with air drying.
@BelieveInFate Thanks! I've gotta say, this is the best purchase I've made in a long time. We've actually had this about one month now and I use it every single day. It's an awesome little machine! As always, thanks for watching and commenting!
In most places you don't need permission.. and I do think you may be able to order this on Walmarts website, otherwise check with Amazon. That's where I bought mine. I've put a link to the washer in the description of this videos. Thanks for watching =-)
@kash1018 That's a great question! Yes you can add water yourself if your sink/faucet doesn't have the right connection. As long as you don't mind adding the water then you'll have no problem with this little machine =-) good luck to you!
@frigginjoe that's a great question! yes, it just stays on the faucet. it's called a quick connect and it is very handy. just make sure your faucet is the type that you can screw something onto it. some of the newer faucet don't have any threads =D
@duncan3417 I'm still enjoying this machine - in fact, I have a load washing now =-) Yes, it can tangle clothes but it's not really a problem for me.. if it happens I just untangle them and hang them up to dry. I still think this is a great machine =)
@trufiend138 I suppose if you're looking for something really small that doesn't need electricity, consider looking at the wonder wash. For my wife and I, this unit is great. It takes up little space and uses very little electricity =)
@duncan3417 sorry, I don't know about the Avanti you mentioned. The machine I bought just happened to be in my price range and had great reviews. I'm sure there are other great brands out there. I hope you find a good one =P
@agathaga I'm glad to hear you've been enjoying your new washer. I don't have the same leak problem you have described. Maybe some plumbers tape would fix that, idk. Anyway, I hope you get it sorted out. Thanks for the update =)
@sixthangel9716 I am very glad this model came with the quick adapter for the sink. I've not seen the portable dishwasher... sounds very cool! And no, apartment living doesn't suck =) I appreciate you leaving the comment.
@luvahgurl11 I'm glad you got your washer, but too bad the adapter doesn't fit. You may need to take the piece to your local hardware store and see if there is an adapter for your adapter =)
@EverydayElectronics Thanks for stopping by! I usually do funny videos, but occasionally I'll review a recent purchase. And yes, this is really great for small spaces. I appreciate you leaving a comment!
@NatePinkyVideos How do you think I earn extra cash. I go knocking door to door and offer all the mommies to wash their little ones. It works great, but like you said, no spin cycle for them =)
@hardlyagain That's too bad - when I got mine I believe it was at the $199 price, but I can't recall... well, I hope you're still able to find a good deal on the little washer =-)
@theoneadamk I use an item I purchased from amazon called Easy Dry - but mostly during these summer months I air dry =) I'll send you a link to you inbox in-case you wanna check it out.
Although this is a great machine, I don't think it's big enough for a bed spread. I am able to wash sheets in this machine, but anything bigger may not fit. Best of luck =-)
@hardlyagain I hope you like the washer - mine is still going strong. I use it almost daily. Thanks for watching and for leaving an insightful comment =-)
I have the larger, but still portable Haier HLP23E (bought it instead of this one by not reading closely) and the thing's fantastic. They make great little washers. Aside from having to attach the hose to my faucet when I need to do laundry, it operates like the full sized thing. Turn the faucet(s) on and the washing machine controls the water flow. No need to attend it. Without the middle agitator taking up space, these hold a nice load of laundry and the spin cycle removes water nicely.
One question, about the attachment that goes right to your faucet (not the piece that clips on, but the smaller bit you screw into the faucet). Do you just use your faucet with that piece left there, or do you remove it and reconnect it every time you want to attach the hose? I'm sure it doesn't aerate the water the same, but I'd prefer to just leave that in to make things quicker.
I got the HLP23E, which is bigger. This video does a nice job showing the size of the smaller unit, so I'm thinking I probably should've gone with this one. Also, I love the transparent window this model has :D Thanks for posting, I may give my sister the bigger one and get this unit for myself.
Are you a product specialist for Haier ? I have had this washer machine for one month and randomly it has ruined the colors on select clothes, what is the reason for this ? Lastly, if there is a major criticism of the HLP21N, no lint filter. I think people should really consider not buying this machine for the issue of Lint and may not want to use a roller afterwards to clean. Haier should have kept with the design of the HLP21E that had a filter.
Received my washer today from Amazon for $189 (yay free shipping!) and installed it. The plate on the bottom wasn't too bad to install and the casters provided are average quality but do the job. Been doing laundry all day and been very happy so far with it! It's also quieter than the dish washer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting one of those "5 gallon paint strainer meshes" to tie around the drain tube to collect lint so it doesn't clog your pipes over time. It WILL collect a lot of lint.
i have the same one but i bought it over a year ago when they didn't use this type of kitchen faucet connector. the sales person told me it wasn't possible to permanently hook up to the shower but i did it. you can see it in my video. i've been happy with it, but i had problems with water leaking in the beginning. i also have a portable dishwasher from edgestar. it's great, too. I hook it up to the kitchen sink the way you do with your new haier washer. apartment living doens't suck afterall.
I've been wanting to get this machine for the longest time, and before I consider getting one, I would like to know if it is able to wash bedspreads (not gigantic ones),because I would pretty much like to avoid handwashing them or going to the laundromat to wash them. If you could please get back to me that would be great. Thanks.
its a cool machine!i want one!...my washer and dryer are outside.,,what i mean is a laundry room attached to the garage, its a 1970s built house and that was the way it was done back then here in ireland, sooo i want a washer for inside and this ideal!how much did you pay for it?and how fast does it spin?cheers!
If you don't have the kind of sink that you can attach the hose right to, can you simply fill the tub up with water. Say for instance can I just like keep filling a pitcher up with water and pour it directly into to the tub until it is full. I have wanted one of these but that's been my concern because my sink doesn't have that kind of threading.
This video was very helpful! How much clothes can it handle? My niece just got married and her and husband are moving into an apartment that does not have the wash and dryer connection. Plus, she is having a 2nd child soon. So, I been looking into purchase a portable washer and dryer for there apt.
Thanks for the reply. It is very helpful. Do you know anything about the Avanti brand? they have one that I was looking at on line. It washes 12lbs. My next apt I will have to sneak it in to, so I want a quiet efficient machine. Thanks, duncan3417
I love this video because Brian rocks and I love to see a man wash his socks, my sons don't wash their socks they always say "Ma could you please wash my socks" these are 20 to 30 year old men but what a mother to do you know, I love them they are my babies.
Awesome video. I'm considering one of these. I don't like public laundry places, but I'm single and don't do laundry often. I just want to be able to do underwear 2x weekly and jeans or work stuff 1x weekly.
