A video compilation of 70000 'Britannia' featured across the mainline and it's former home at the Severn Valley Railway. All locations and years feature in the video. I hope you enjoy our recap of this famous locomotive !
Quality as ever Liam , great compilation especially in these difficult times mate 👍Can’t beat that engine sound at speed especially with that chime whistle.
Many thanks, Liam and Phil, for this superb compilation featuring one of my favourite locos. All quality, so impossible to single out any one shot. Kind regards and stay safe, Bob.
Brilliant compilation Liam and Phil. You captured the Brit at some fantastic locations over the years. Enjoyable watching. Hope you are all staying safe. Kind regards C&A
such an amazing engine and one who I admire for its name, rule Britannia, love the Chime Whistle on this engine, thankyou for the great quality once again, I have subscribed and I look forward to seeing more videos.
Nice compilation of Britannia. I'd like to see a Rood Ashton Hall compilation, if it's possible. Rood Ashton Hall hates rude awakenings, but I'd love it if I was rudely woken up by her sharp bark and shrill whistle.
This video brings back great memories of my train spotting days , Brits were/are beautiful looking locos . Personally I’d like to see Britannia reunited with her original she’d plate 30A . Excellent compilation .
The usual A1 quality, further improved by the large location descriptions. Those of us overseas may have been on quite a few UK lines but often only once, and if it's years ago we may not recall specifics of each. Great work, and if "it" ever ends I'll be jumping on Philippine Airlines or another carrier all the way to the UK.
Excellent video. Britannia was the first steam locomotive I ever saw. It was at Kings Lynn with Flying Scotsman and I think Taw Valley. There was some sort of event going on. That was a long time ago and I long to see Britannia again.
A wonderful compilation of views. Quite apart from the shots with the loco, I trust that Housman fans will appreciate the 'blue remembered hills' in the scenes from Shropshire! "Into my heart an air that kills From yon far country blows: What are those blue remembered hills, What spires, what farms are those? That is the land of lost content, I see it shining plain, The happy highways where I went And cannot come again."
Is it me or my phone sound. The sound of Britannia's engine chugging is pleasiing to the ears compare to Black 5. Those who have heard it " Live" please share your input. Maybe I got it wrong.
