I believe they go Nashors tooth because of its passive, it deals more damage than with shadowflame. At least with an e + double aa, Nashors just deals more damage even if enemy has 80 MR. Try testing it in practice tool, all I tried was the e + double aa combo but that seemed to do more
To build on what I said: Shadowflame has more AP so if you just throw a Q it of course does more damage, but the on hit passive of Nashors just goes together perfectly with hail of blades as you can instantly get 3 autos in. I guess it just really depends on your play style.
as a jungler Nashor is generally a better choice on Ekko. I have seen people go with both nashor and lichbane, if anything i'd play that over shadowflame
Hello, what are your thoughts on jungle Ekko? Should we stick with Dark Harvest or opt for Electrocute, considering the core items of Nashor's Tooth, Lich Bane, and Rabadon's Deathcap?
My jungle ekko knowledge isn’t the greatest as I mainly only play mid. But when I do get filled jungle I go dark harvest and nashor first for faster jungle clear. From there up to you what you build depending on the game / enemy team. Hope that helps though.
dont u think zhonya is a better choice instead of mejais? zhonya gives almost the same ap as mej + 50 armor + the passive which has a lot of outplay potential
Yes It would be better but it’s not a fair comparison as meji is 1150 gold and hourglass is 3250 gold. The whole idea of meji is to upgrade from dark seal if your snowballing and therefore get 120 ap for very cheap (1150 gold).
It's all about hitting passive safely in the early game, later stages your rune doesn't matter. I would even say that HoB offer, more consistent proc of passive -> more ms to position yourself.
Yeah electrocute is better late game but HoB is good early and more consistent for your 3 hit passive this season. Since your not building Rocketbelt that often or at all due to how weak it is compared to other items , therefore you don’t have it for the auto rest like previous seasons. This is where HoB helps. But it still match up dependent what rune you go at the end of the day.
