Thank you andrew domville. It seriously means a lot to hear that. I don't mean to bother you too much, but if you have an account with IMDb (www.imdb.com/title/tt4130574/?ref_=fn_al_tt_10), please feel free to leave a review. If don't, don't worry about opening up another account just for that...as I I hate how we all have too many accounts for this and that... Haha. Thanks for your kind words, once again~

First off Joe, this is a really strong storyline. I loved the idea in and of itself. I am grateful someone of your mind is able to revitalize a dying industry. While many will disagree, story's are loosing essence. We both know that filmmaking can be subjective; however filmmaking has become a sequel driven industry. Many of the great stories are hidden behind sex, drugs, more skin showing, gun and action scenes. In my opinion Joe, you've demonstrated critical thinking,relevance, love and pain, in less than 20 minutes. You my friend make me excited about why I'm in film school. I'm not much of a editor in regards to the wording of the synopsis; however I had to share a thought. " HAIR, is a short story about a man who sees a life past and present through each strand of his girlfriends hair. When the haphazard event of life forces him to reside in its present moment; sadness and happiness takes shape, molding an inevitable future of reality.

Eugene Washington Wow. Thank you so much for your words. It seriously means so much to hear such critical response. In hindsight, I would have liked to have a more stability in shots. We were working with only the gear that we've had and most shots were handheld with both lens and camera not having any stabilisation. I prefer handheld camera movements in most situations and I have made a stabilising device for myself after the filming. It would've been nice to have it with me during the filming to just make some of the instability a little less dramatic and erratic. I completely feel you with the way the film industry (at least Hollywood) has headed. While Marvel and DC's plans up to 2020 is somewhat exciting, the industry has come to rely on "event" films where the release of a trailer is an event in itself. And people flock to see the films for its hype more than its substance. I've lost the count of times I've walked into a cinema with high hopes...only to come out like I had some half portioned meal that was just very overladen with artificial flavourings and seasoning. Add to that the problem of film downloading. While many people will still flock to see those "event" films like Star Wars, Transformers, the Marvel/DC offerings, next Christopher Nolan film, etc...the ones in the middle are suffering as people just wait to download it. I think what we're seeing is the disappearance of "middle class" when it comes to film industry as well. There always were the high flying studio backed blockbusters. There always were low budget indie films. The middle was packed with some true cinematic gems. But, that middle has been eroding away at a remarkable rate...which is sad to see... And which is worrying for me as I have no desire to make huge sci-fi blockbuster (provided that I could ever reach that level). I want to focus on more human stories. But I fear there will be no platform/market left by the time I get there. But, we can always hope right? The pendulum has to swing and people will begin desiring things of more substance once more. I'd be very keen to watch if you have any films of your own or the ones you make in the future. : ) Lastly...your synopsis is pretty dang awesome! I suck at writing it...hence, my rather rudimentary effort...if it can be called that. Hahaha. Thank you, once again.

Hi Joe, this is a brilliant film. It's actually hard for me to watch, I have recently had cancer treatment and I am hoping I will get an all clear next year. Hoping. I know I should watch this and understand that it could happen, to anyone, but it's so hard when I'm trying to stay strong and positive to see this lived out. It really is brilliant though. Well done.

Amy E Thank you Amy~ Hey, we have the same last names! :D I sincerely wish you all the best with the treatment. I have not gone through it personally, but my mother had two rounds of cancer... One on her uterus and and another one on her back (as a tumour randomly began growing until it was a size of a child's fist). Both were very stressful times and I can't even imagine what you're feeling now. Do stay strong and positive~!

Kai Anderson Thank you for stopping by and watching the film. I was initially worried that I didn't translate the idea well enough onto the screen. But, words like you let me know what the film managed to connect people on the personal level. So, it's great to hear~! I've just created a page for it on IMDb (link: www.imdb.com/title/tt4130574/?ref_=fn_al_tt_10). If you already have an account with them, I'd highly appreciate it if you could leave a review on it. If you don't have an account, don't worry about opening up yet another account. I think you can rate it without any login? Thanks once again for the kind words. :)

Hello again Joe, I wanted to come back to you with a short film that I'd directed. Following this wonderful piece that you've done, thought I'd share too, just completed. I searched for you on Facebook. Find me, Eugene Washington my same picture is my profile there you'll see a video entitled, Reminiscing Love. Feel free to comment.
@ChannelJoeE

Eugene Washington First of all, thank you for keeping me in your mind. I've just watched the film. And I'm not one of those people who just say stuff to make people feel good. So, trust me when I say "Wow!". That was seriously good bro! And the subject matter is something I (and probably many others) can relate to. The sad moment when we realise that we no longer have the same love we used to for the other. It is a very moving short film. And you're a far better actor than I am... Hahaha. I would've perished if I had to say any dialogues... Haha. From technical perspective, your shots will wipe the floor with mine. Although it is not a competition, your shots really did make mine look like a massive amateur hour! The shots at the beach were absolutely breathtaking. Did you use Sony F5 or something? The music, I thought was perfect for the film as well. Truly, well done~!

I'm sorry for the late detailed response Joe. I used the Black Magic Cinema Camera, 2.5k. I beg to argue that, you're short stays with me, seriously. I can't help but to constantly go back in my mind at times to the attention to details that was spent in extracting hair from various places throughout the film. Certainly the subject matter should win any and all festivals. To add great creativity to drive it home. COME ON JOE, That is what makes great filmmakers. I see it and feel it. I smoke so the ending was one that I think of "sometimes" when I'm at a bench on a shoot. lol. We should definitely stay in touch. I'm working on two new projects that are going through the rewriting process now. You know you'll be one of the first to hear from me when completed. I was able to achieve the smooth shots on the beach by the way with the DJI Ronin. We also used a Konova slider a few times. I didn't use my lights on this particular one, but I order a set for 745 from Came-tv.com. 2 650 & 2 1000's so far they're holding pretty good. Wish you well my friend.

Just also wanted to add; I can't recall watching a short film that has hit me on so many levels. The scene at 11:11 started it and the first hit of 11:16 coupled with the music; My God. You my friend have hit it. The whole project is emotional from here on out. I'm sure when you'll put it together you wanted the audience to feel the emotion. Trust, they did.
