As in with howling or "speaking" in dog. Some breeds are very quiet and rarely ever bark/howl. Depending on the temperament of the dog individually as well, even a dog of a talkative breed can be very quiet.

Grastermane Forte I do not understand either... I guess, maybe they had a bad experience with dogs as a child, got bitten or had their family member killed by a vicious dog or something. Not too sure... ^_^

I can explain a little bit of that: first of all I don't think many people would dislike this little husky puppy. I guess it's the same as not liking children, or people . They don't appreciate the fun and cute stuff, and focus on the annoying and bad parts. I myself like a few dogs, and even more puppies of course, cats I like more in general. What I like about dogs is how friendly and kind they are, you really feel loved by your dog. And they're funny. playful and cuddly etc. and the walks (most of the time) But what I don't like is when they're super needy or smell bad or bark too much or pull when you go for a walk or have way more energy than me

Mavis Vermillion Huskies do learn very quickly. But as with all other dogs, you need to be consistent, fair and firm. For example, you cannot let a puppy bite you during one play session, then tell him not to, then let him bite you again. This confuses the dog and he'll just learn to distrust your commands. After a while, when he is fully grown up, they you can relax the rules a bit.

MunichMen I think the first thing you need to think about is what sort of husky you're after. If you want really good thoroughbred...like the ones good enough for show dog competitions, etc, the breeder will show you the breeding male and female, and their certificate of lineage and that they have low risk of developing eye and hip issues, which huskies are genetically prone to. These breeders are reliable and will not compromise the quality of their huskies. But they can be rather expensive. There are more casual breeders who do not really maintain that sort of "standard". And they may sell huskies looking more like Wolfie... A bit of a mutt by husky standards. Make sure you check that they are genuine breeders. I think I may have accidentally bought Wolfie from puppy farm, which is a very evil evil place. Although I regret I may have unwittingly supporting the puppy farm practice...I am glad in a way. Wolfie had seizures when he first came home and cost us thousands in vet bills. But there was no way I was going to "put him down" as the vet told me I had an option of. I'm not too sure if Wolfie would've been shown the same care had he gone with wrong people. So, just be careful as to not buy from a puppy farm. But questions more important than breeders are ourselves. You must be prepared to do a lot of research into husky as a breed. Huskies are more difficult to train than most breeds. And your house needs to be modified as to prevent them from escaping. A lot of huskies end up in the pounds and put down every year because owners were ill-prepared to deal with a husky. (Please, don't take this as me accusing you of doing these things. But, that was the same advice I was given.) Also, unless you have large family and someone will be home most times, just having one husky is not good for the dog. So, if you're thinking of getting a husky and house will be empty during the day for school/work, it is highly recommended that you get a pair of them so that they can keep each other company while humans are away. I've seen far too many families the children wanted a puppy or a kitten for Christmas, birthday, or whatever, but do nothing when it comes to feeding them, exercising them or disciplining and training them. (This isn't to say you were one of those kids, though. ^_^) With the mess thing... Yeah, my dogs do make a plenty of messes that would otherwise never take place. Haha. But, still, they are loads of fun to be around, and we've gotten used to the mess... Hahaha...

If you don't wanna puppy to have more puppies, Then you can just get him/her fixed. (Giving him/her the inability to reproduce) All of the dogs in my family are fixed.

Jordyn Steele As in I agree. A lot of people don't seem to know what they're doing and their dogs turn out to be complete menace. Hence, many commenting that picking a puppy up by the scruff is animal cruelty.

***** Nah, I'm pretty sure I know how many people would say that. It's just a little funny when they say that too. Young pups have a scruff behind their neck, and the mother grabs the kids by the "scruff of their neck" to carry them in the natural world. But then again, this "Animal Lovers" know nothing about the wild world. xD I still say he is a cute puppy, I bet he is a handful now that he's about a year old and going though "Puppy Puberty". My dog was such a pain at that time, even after the snippy snippy.

AlphaWolvesGamer Ah...the "animal lovers" who make the critical mistake of treating dogs far too much like humans... The dogs go off the rails, become uncontrollable, and they blame the dog and give them up at the local pound... Happens so often, especially with little toy breeds who get far too spoilt. In any case, Wolfie isn't too bad. He pulls a lot more now whilst on a walk but I make sure he doesn't dictate the pace and direction of the walk. He never got into chewing anything of value. We taught him that earlier on. He may chew rogue newspaper or magazines from the recycle bin and tear it to bits. He has got into the habit of digging up dirt, especially around the fences. Typical husky behaviour. We bought some 10 bags of concrete in the past couple of days to reinforce the holes. It is hard to correct this behaviour as he does it while I am work and I cannot correct him on the spot. Hahaha... ^_^""""

Haha, that last statement, I know that all to well, and my Aunt and Uncle who live in the house don't want to correct the behavior because their to busy playing games or reading Kindles. As far as misbehavour goes, we have one dog who likes to pee on the bed and they like to dig in the trash. We've learned that mild pepper in the trash makes them avoid it, while the "on the bed" problem is so problematic because he is annoyingly smart. (He waits, I swear he waits, until he knows he gets away, and when we find out, he is hiding and we can't find him).

AlphaWolvesGamer One remedy for the peeing thing could be...just let him sleep on it a few times. Dogs don't pee where they sleep, so it'll stop him. ^_^ My bro's dog Snow used to do that quite often. I think it was his way of challenging his dominance over me... (How dare he...!? Hahaha.) So, he'd just come to my bed and pee on my sheets when I'm somewhere else. Then, I "let" him play on my bed a few times, which he wasn't allowed to because he leaves his hair everywhere. I just let him play on there a few days and fall asleep on it when he is tired. After that, he doesn't pee on there. ;)
