It’s on my list to try the Nairobi foam. I’ve been loving foams for twist outs since I learned more about them from Black Girl Curls. I’m currently using the Design Essentials Curl Enhancing Mousse alone for a twist-out. I like using foam on damp-dry hair. Foams just dry quicker when I use them alone which really works for my lifestyle!
Thanks for sharing your experience. I've had a lot of success following BGC for WnGs, but never had a good twist out, ever so avoided them. Do you use the foam alone for twist outs or do you use a leave in under the foam?
Your results are beautiful. It's interesting because I've found that my hair loves Alikay foam. Anything wirh lemongrass is very moisturizing and super defining for my hair. But with Nairobi, I usually get a little crunch or cast because it's so fast drying. But my hair is thin and low porosity, so maybe that's the difference. I love them both though. I use Alikay lemongraas foam when I need more moisture. I use Nairobi when I want my hair to dry fast. Nairobi is usually more expensive but if you can use less it works out cost-wise. Either way you'll get beautiful results. That's why I've always been a foam girl. ❤
Thank you for sharing. I really enjoy your hair videos with different product combos. The products don't need to be the "new new". I'm over being a product junkie. It definitely gives me ideas about how to use/use up products. I apparently stumbled through a good job of trimming 🙂. The beautician only snipped a few ends and said that my hair was very even.
I've always used Nairobi for years. I was told you have to dilute Nairobi. I went to my stylist complaining of my scalp itching like crazy and couldn't figure out why 🤪 She told me Nairobi was concentrated. What you think???
Love your hair. I like the Nairobi side. Have you tried Ju Poppin or Camille Rose spiked Honey foam mousse? You are talking about serious moisture. Keep the Q &A going!
I liked the Nairobi as well. It gives hold for twists for days. Because I live in humid climate I’ve used gel underneath especially in summer. Why do you not use gel for your twist outs?
Is it me or did you say the Alikay was initially on the right side with the more defined ends? AYou mistakenly said the opposite for the 5 days later? Please correct me if I misunderstood something...🥰
