I forgot to mention that The Doux is $15.99 at 7 ounces and the Nairobi at 8 ounces runs around $10. Also, I ended up using one pump so this is an equal comparison and the Nairobi is cheaper. Right now, The Doux isn't easy to come by, but once the hype dies down, it will more than likely be easy to find regularly in-store. Nairobi can usually be found in Beauty Supply stores or on Amazon, but is not always easy to come by.
Hi, do you know if Amazon is an authorized seller for the Nairobi foam? I came across a short saying beauty supply stores can sell knock offs and was wondering about Amazon…
This was a great comparison video! I love the way you explain your process and answer questions. I know you are not a cosmetologist but you missed your calling! Thanks for your helpful video’s!
Im definitely looking at using the doux mousse again! First time I tried it I used it completely wrong and paired it with the big poppa gel and my hair was a sticky soft mess!😭🤣 Thats all on me! I have some other cream stylers with hold I want to pair it with for mini twists/ twistouts.
Both sides held up great, but The Doux seems to retain more definition over the 7 days - which is key for me. I never have a problems w “crunch”/cast because I’m all about a firm hold that will last: that cast is what’s keeping humidity out of my high-porosity curls, so bring it on - lol. Nevertheless, I don’t understand why Nairobi will not provide a full list of ingredients: They only list “active ingredients”. What’s up w that? I’m surprised it’s even legal to sell a product without full disclosure. I feel as though they may be hiding something - or maybe just leaving things vague so that they can switch-up ingredients willy-nilly depending upon what on hand. It’s frustrating!
Thank you for reviewing this side by side these are the two I was wanting to be compared. I agree I have been having a hard time finding the Crazy Sexy Curl Mousse on the ground. Just bewn managing with my Nairobi and Design Essentials Avocado and Almond Oil Mousse.
@@ALove4Me Of course it was fun on the live tonight! Do let us know if you see them at your local TJMaxx or Marshall's that's where I always see mine at.
Love the results it looks beautiful!💜 That difference in time is why I can't bring myself to do twists for a twist out. My hair is a fair amount longer than yours although not as dense still, it takes too long to twist. The most I'll do is 2 - 4 twists and pin them up to stretch my hair for an updo. Do you like The Doux Mousse Def or Honey foam better? My greys have been poppin since I was 10 that's when my Mallen Streak came through. At first, I hated it and thought I looked like a skunk, but it didn't take long for me to fall in love with its uniqueness. LoL
I prefer your hair with The Doux; it looks more solid and refined. The Doux state that no oil is to be used before putting in the mousse. Have you tried it without? How do you maintain a wash n go?
nice twist set. Ive used this in the past. I didnt care for the pump tho. I didnt like the smell either. I prefer the mousse Def over this one. Your hair looks very good.
