With so many products in the market... It's pretty confusing which all to use.. 1. The leave in conditioner 2.. curl cream 3. Curl butter 4 . Gel 5. Mousse Which to use and when and what to pair with which? Can you please guide here or make a video regarding this .
I tried the fix my curls mousse on my low porosity 2c-3a curls.. what I thought about it is- 1. It might give better results with a medium hold gel or strong hold gel 2. Though its first ingredient is protein, but i think it’s majorly a moisturising product 3. I used 5 pumps after leave in cream but the curls lost its structure and lustre after few hours.
You are right - Enliven Mousse works best with FMC Hair butter (I went back and watched your old video after a year). Time saver 🙂. Needless to say, your recommendations are very well researched
Watching your videos gives me a hope not to give up on my hair Coz it’s mostly 2B, and clumps of 2C&3A. It’s really frustrating sometimes when the waves and curls won’t turn out as I wanted. But thanks to you and I really appreciate your efforts for researching the products out there especially for wavy hair.
I am using Fix My Curls Mousse and the quality and quantity is good for its discounted price. Smell is mild to moderate. Honestly, it worked above my expectations and has has amazing hold on my 3a & 3b hair type. So you can give it a shot once.
Hey Michelle 👋, love your content it has helped me alott and my hair looks so much better now thanks to you😌💕. But I was wondering if you can make a detailed vid on scalp health. Including products like scalp exfoliators because I've been losing hair and my hair density has reduced 😟. Thanks for great content 💕. And can we use hair mousse as the only styler?
Hii I'm beginner for cgm. I think I have 2b hair and low to medium porosity I used fix my curls products but didn't get much hold and definition. Can I use enliven mousse with Garnier hair food papaya variant as leave in?
hey michelle! first of all i really admire that you give honest reviews about products ❤ i have type 2a-2b with fine to medium texture and im about to start wavy hair routine and no idea where to begin with (headed over to your channel since i feel like youre one of the very few who give honest reviews) so could you please suggest me some beginner friendly styling products?
I tried to start cgm last year but gave up pretty fast after my hair seemed to get even more drier than before ( i realise now i should've stuck with it for more time to see actual results). I've decided to try again. Would you recommend gel or mousse? Based on your videos i think i have 2c/3a high porosity hair.
Gel might be a good idea. It definitely takes time but it's worth it in the long run. I didn't see amazing results overnight. It took me some time to get where I'm at with the hair.
My hair is fine light and thin i thought my hair has high porosity and started to use murmura conditioner, northwise leave in ans fmc flaxseed gel but at the wash day when I apply conditioner my hair falls out like crazy plenty hairloss, after applying the stylers at the end the day my fine hair has no volume no density and with lots of frizz and dry and brittle ends
hey, same herer. I saw a lot of hairfall because of the murumuru conditioner with my 2a-2b low porosity hair and thought it could be because of protein overload. Could you confirm once if that was the reason for your hairfall and the other products were working fine since I really wanted to try out the Northwish leave in conditioner but don't want to lose hair?
Hey! I need some help pls...I've only recently started my wavy hair journey and the results have been really bad....I use fmc butter and recently I bought giovanni hair foam after seeing your review, will the vcombination of these 2 products work? Also dies giovanni hair mousse leave a cast which I have to scrunch out?
The giovanni mousse is actually super drying. I had used it with a super moisturising leave in but my hair felt very dry and rough. I personally wouldn’t recomend
Hey Anandika. Thank you for sharing honestly. I personally used it with the bounce curl leave in, my hair felt really shony and moisturised. Could you leave your curl type and porosity. Might help those reading.
@@MichelleManuel I was using the cantu leave in cream, I’ll try using that thank you 😊 I have low porosity coily hair so maybe it’s not met for low porosity hair.
This is happening to me as well. My hair is growing out. If you remember i spoke about the bad haircut i got. I've been aggressively cutting my hair to rectify the bad haircut i got and even out the bottom lengths. Most of my high porosity parts are going away. Treating my hair as high porosity has not been working lately. It tends to get over-moisturized very very quickly. The heat and humidity is also lower now because of the weather change. Might be time to re-evaluate your porosity and treat your hair accordingly.
@@MichelleManuel yeah i remember about your after hair cutting issue!! I guess you are right i will recheck my porosity again and will let you know thank you ❤️❤️
@@MichelleManuel heyy i washed again with different methods regarding porosity and protein moisture and it cames wonder ❤️❤️❤️super happy Nd feeling confident
Hey Michelle, i have 2a 2b low porosity hair. The Giovanni mousse now costs 625 in Amazon, can you suggest other paraben free mousse? And is Giovanni good for low porosity hair?
You can get it cheaper on nynm.in. I have 10% off discount code. On Amazon the prices keep changing because it's sold by resellers. You could also hold on till the price goes down. I think the Giovanni mousse is a good choice for low porosity hair since it's protein free. The true frog hair mousse would also be a good choice if you're okay with the points mentioned in the video.
Hi michelle! I have short curly hair which is dry and prone to frizziness. Since i'm a beginner I've chosen true frog for my first cg friendly hair care brand.I'm quite not sure if i have high or low porosity hair. Still this is little difficult for me to understand. Is my choice good or should i choose another brand? You have a code with true frog. The code is :Michelle. But can you tell me how much discount can i get with this code? Actually I'm from outside india. I'll order through a third party. In order to pre order we have to give certain % of the whole price as advance. So if you could tell me the % of discount it will be really helpfull.
I have discount codes with most curly hair brands, whichever brand i don't have codes for you can find on Nynm.in (where i also have a code). That should not influence your decision by any means. You can get discounts on any curly product you choose. You'll find a code that corresponds in the description of my videos. First things first, as a beginner especially someone with short hair, i would suggest a gel only as your styling product. Buy something inexpensive like the FMC flaxseed hair gel or the northwish curling custard. See if it gives you enough moisture. (It should). If you feel like adding a leave in, get something super light to start with. The true frog leave in might be too heavy as your first product.
@@MichelleManuel Thank you for being so transparent. I am actually thinking about getting true frog's shampoo and conditioner. Do you think it will be good for short curly hair? Or should i go for northwish shampoo and conditioner?
@@MichelleManuel have watched, you said to pair up with a heavy leave in. But you suggested me to use light leave in. I will try mousse for first time, so this one is perfect for my budget, so can i go for this??
No. Use something heavier than your hair usually needs and different from saying use something heavy point blank. It is meant in relative terms. Watch my video on leave on conditioners for context on how to pick and get acquainted with my level system.
Gels have weight and more moisture. Mousses are much lighter. The hair feels way more fluffy will have more frizz and more volume. The clumps don't feel the same as compared to when you use gel. They will feel very light and fluffy in comparison.
When I scratch my hair with sharp knife , whitish dust like things comes out.. as it is shown in one of the skincraft ad.. What should I do??? Please suggest
I don't think you should scratch the surface of your hair with a knife. A lot of the time, products get disposted on the surface of our hair along with our natural oils. This can also form a protective layering on the hair. You might be scratching out the protective coating on your hair or even damaging your hair cuticle . I think i saw a professional busting this myth on youtube somewhere a couple of years back. So my request would be not to do it. If you have product built up on your hair, best to use a clarifying shampoo to remove it.
