I just put the tape on the unit and then the unit on my head. Super simple works every time for me.

I think it works better like this for him because he lines it right up. For me tho I also put on the unit because the test of my head is shaved and super accuracy isn't necessary. Plus I don't want to go past the lace/skin

Hey Curtis, although you have Amanda help you. A good video idea would be to show how people can use the double mirrors to apply it themselves!

Don't pull straight back! Do at an angle when you remove the second backing. When you do at an angle, you distribute the pull tension.

Curtis you're not putting any scalp protector, just wiping It off with alchol and saying it gets red thats part of it. NO. I don't get th a t because I take care of my scalp. I clean scalp first with something that removes dirt and and oil like a mask sometimes or cleanser. I then put skin protector and then I lay the tape and adhesive on the system, not directly on scalp. You grt red because of your scalp routine, it's not part of it. I take care of my scalp health and ph lvls. I use head and shoulders, I use oils after removal, I use a shea butter product for scalp healt. I PUT IN THAT WORK.

Hey Curtis, i've had my unit for a few months now during the summer period and its starting to bleach from the sun and has gone/going a brown/reddish colour. It has some synthetic greys in there also to match with my real hair. Do you have any advice on what I can do to get it back to the black colour it was? I saw some of those dyeing shampoo online- will they dye the synthetic white hairs also? What would be a good way of using these shampoo's if indeed this is what you would suggest? Cheers
@HairExperience
@HairExperience 3 года назад
Hey. Shouldn't hurt the synthetic hair. But check with whomever you get your unit from to confirm 100% what to use.

Good video! How's your experience with red liner tape for poly systems? I hear it is better heat resistant and doesn't have a lot of residu, but hesitant on if it's strong enough (I play sports a lot)

@HairExperience

@@TheBengaal No. Im saying that one tape or bond has a chemical compound. Mixing it with another chemical compound has unknown results. That could not be safe based on whats in them. This is not to scare you, this is to make sure no one hurts themselves

Great content I appreciate you man. I will be buying hair from you and products. How long is the waiting period for different hair pieces .. lace so on and so forth? Would you do a video on that being specific on time? What about small clips for side’s and back with adhesive in the front for exposed hairline? Thanks

Hey Ray ! here to help and we would be grateful for your business! Time, really depends on the product. Some are in stock now. So it really varies Clips, you can do that yourself. Wig clips are available online and can be sown in.

Hey Curtis, first of all thanks for wearing pants, so many shirt-only errors by people standing in front of a mirror mounted cam, forgetting there's a second mirror directly behind. LOL. To the extent possible, time allowing, I'd like to see a video on how to properly thin out a hair system that's already been styled. A basic YT search results in a bucketload of women showing how to thin out a women's wig with curly hair, generally, hard to botch up because they trim, spritz and pull curls in an outward direction which covers any goof ups way down deep. Thanks in advance.
@HairExperience

Right lol ... Good idea, I will have to get with my stylist to do a video like this. only thing about it is, cutting hair is an art. And some (including myself) kinda need to leave that up to the pro's. I just dont want anyone screwing anything up. Because I dont even do that myself. ya know !
@LostWithoutHer
@LostWithoutHer 3 года назад
@@HairExperience I agree. It takes a bit of thought to navigate but it doesn't have to be that complicated. Men's styles either have a side part or central part, or no part (swept back or forward or up). The key thing I think most would want to know is: Do you thin it in strips parallel or perpendicular to a side-part or if it's a swept back or forward direction do you thin in strips going forehead backwards or in strips going from left to right? Your stylist seems perfect for the job. Your personal hair system isn't overly poofy and the density and style are perfectly matched and suited to your bio-hair. (Fingers crossed for an explanation from your stylist and a vid! 🤔)

⚠️WARNING ⚠️ After a year or so of wearing tape with no issues, my skin has suddenly developed a severe reaction to ALL tapes. The tape essentially burns my skin and takes weeks/months to heal. After doing some research in hair loss forums, this has happened to a lot of people. Be very aware that this could happen to you at any time, without warning. The danger sign is itching in the taped areas. If you feel this, remove your system immediately. The first time it happened to me, I ignored the itching. When I took my system off after 7 days my skin was severely inflamed and blistered, to the point that chunks of skin came off, leaving weeping sores. I follow all the usual advice for preparing and protecting the skin and absolutely nothing changed in my regime that could've caused these reactions. I have tried several different tapes since and I continue to get inflammation. I'm now at the point where I'll most likely have to stop wearing systems entirely, simply because my body chemistry has started rejecting the adhesive. It's extremely frustrating and depressing.

This could happen, but with anything in life. As you age your allergies change. Lactose, peanuts etc. Its def something to pay attention too. But putting fear in everyone with extreme WARNINGS is not called for. This is why all companies put a patch test notice in their products. You need to test prior to putting anything on your skin. Please just test your skin first !! As ive always said. It could be one chemical in the product that your body doesnt agree with. Then try something else, call the company that makes it (the new one and the old one) and talk it over with them and see what its possible that your allergic too. That will help find the root of the issue. Then just do not use that product again. Use something else !!!
@-The-Golden-God-
@-The-Golden-God- 3 года назад
@@HairExperience Extreme warnings? Are you serious? I explained exactly what happened to me with no exaggeration or drama. We're talking about people's health. This is the kind of stuff people need to know. I get it, you're a salesman, you don't want people being put off; but when something like this happens to someone it can be very shocking and upsetting. So I couldn't give a crap if my all caps and caution emotes rattled your cage. If it leads to one person avoiding getting a serious skin issue, then it's worth it. To say that it's 'not called for' really brings into question your motives. In response to skin tests, I did them. I do them with everything I use. Nothing triggered. Then all of a sudden it did. Of course I became allergic in some way, that was never in doubt. But as I said, it's happened to enough people that it should be talked about more. It's something people need to know about. I see so many people in the hair system industry who are quick to make a sale, but avoid going into the true details of what can go wrong. Even your videos skirt around many of the downsides. People need to be aware that this can happen and that it means they can't wear a system for potentially months. That can have a catastrophic effect on a system wearer. As someone who claims to truly care, I am very disappointed in your response, but not surprised.

@@-The-Golden-God- typical internet conversation. People get all worked up. Nothing to do with sales. Everything to do with information. That's exactly what I'm all about is info. And the right stuff out there. It was your (WARNING) label at the top I was referring to. Not most of your info.
