If your adhesive remover don't work because you have excessive amounts of old glue goo, here is a trick from an old pro (wearing since 1984) to remove glue, particularly from a lace base. Let it soak for 15 min. in a dish of Coleman's Lantern Fuel. What? Yep. It will dissolve the glue quite fast, then wash up the unit with shampoo. Pretty much every shop that handles large numbers of system service does this method but would never admit it because it is not approve for such use. And no, it won't dry your hair - like Dawn dish soap would. I've been doing this for about 20 years.

I've been trying to shampoo my unit less because I heard the color will last longer if you don't. Is it okay to do removals without shampooing it? Lately I have been taking it off then will soak it in water overnight (makes cleanup so easy, tape and glue come right off). Yo i have some questions. I would really appreciate if you could give me an advice. Ive seen some skin base hairsystems with exposed hairlines what indont like about them is that the edge of the skin reflects light diffrent than skin and is exposing the hairsystem habe you moticed this? The only thing i dont like bout hairsytsems are the not perfect hairlines. It is technically possible in terms if hairsystems to get them behind a transplant hairline? Inwould like to get bout 1-2cm of real hair and behind that maybe get the hairsystem? Habe you ever seen or heard if anyone made a good experience wirh this?

This video doesn't help. Shampoo alone may clean the hair but won't get the adhesion or the adhesion remover off the base. That requires dish soap and more than just 4 minutes of actually cleaning the base. This video seems like clickbait.
