You're right about tearing a thin skin. Before I knew how to take the tape off I ripped mine. Don't freak out if you do. I put the edges back together, took a needle & thread and stitched it back up, worked like a dang charm. Couldn't feel it, no problem. However, it's best to be careful, and take it off a bit at a time, because you can't take it off like on a lace unit. Also, I use GooGone to take off stubborn residue, works great.

Good advice. That probably works but you better know how to stitch but it may be hard.

You're right about the.03 mm thin skin prone to tearing. That's why I purchase the .06mm the difference is almost negligible. But if you have to have the .03 you can purchase polyurethane repair and put two layers down where you peel the tape off. Just make sure you let it dry overnight between layers.

Thanks for the info, I'll look into that. This is my first thin skin and am having to get used to the peculiarities of a .03 thin skin. I tape my perimeter, but put adhesive on the hairline. I've found the top wants to buckle up some and make some noise. How do you attach yours?

Good question. I havent really had to dal with that myself. First, id speak with your Doctor about it. I would honestly think that it may irritate the area, I will look into it though

Hi there Curtis...You're the best man for this job...hair replacement thing. Once again its Jeff here from New Zealand. I use a unit with tape securing the entire perimeter...Problem starts when i remove this unit after 1 week to replace the tape...I find gooey residue of tape on my bio hair. Cleaning that off seem to be a bitch of a task....what is your advise on that...is there a better way to do this.....

Hey, for sure. Two things. Get a different tape, that one is not really working out for you. You should get two weeks from a tape. Second to remove it, get a product like C22 and a fine tooth comb. Spray the area and rub it in. Let sit for a moment. Then run the comb through it and it should come right out. Hope that helps!

I do all the cleaning, unit and head before using tape and it still comes off after 2 days. I am not even in hot weather. The tape sticks to the unit but only on my scalp for 2days. I think the walkers tape is cheap and old. Red one.

Have you tried different tapes? I always preach that not all bonds/tapes work for everyone the same way!! Try a different few, hope that helps

Mine is clean but it’s the sides that won’t stay for some reason. Front (lace) and rear (poly) stay fine, but there’s this weird thing that happens on both “sides” (left/right) that just won’t stick between poly and lace. If I put glue there it will stick but then is impossible to clean off.

Hard to say. Typically 9 times out of 10 its contamination. The other is the bond or tape is just not the right one for you. Id try a different tape or bond on those sides that are giving you trouble

I have a french lace with poly sides and back and the tape works great on the poly but doesn't stick at all on the lace in the front and its a brand new system grrr I can't wear it!! The lady who did it even doing this for 40 years and was having a very hard time but managed a week ago to get sticking properly but I took it off with out c22 and the lace looks fresh but JUST WONT STICK

Use a isopropyl alcohol wipe down as the last step. That will help !

Also a consideration for units not sticking is medications you may be taking or excessive drinking. Hey I just read about a unit you do not have to use tape or glue it's put out by a company called nobo. Any chance you want to be a thrill seeker and see if it's for real?

Congrats on your MHE studio! I can actually advice you for once lol. Return that $300 mic! If you have an iPhone, go to Guitar center and buy this round mic, this brand is SHURE! All you do it, turn whatever camera you have on, connect the mic to your iPhone, click record, clap 3 times so then you can align the sound Clíp claps with your video claps, go on the listing of Craig and buy for $60 Final Cut Pro x. You can edit the Audio then. Trust me, the $300 mic will probably pic up more room noise especially if it’s a condenser mic. You’ll need foam, edit gear ect.

Hi, depends on the unit and tape. If something does not stick there is contamination somewhere. Unit must be perfectly clean to get a good bond

Romeo WaVy How old are you? Hairstyles come and go faster than any other style trend. There's and old saying that you can apply to any field of fashion, it basically says "blank was in style until it wasn't". Even though the mullet was in at one point, the second it was considered out, it was out. It didn't stop younger nerds from having one or older guys that were trying to be/look younger. That look expired in mid 2017 but lives on through older men and young wannabes. By the way, it looks like Curtis agrees with me.

DanThe Guy cool man. You’re entitled to your own opinion. So is Curtis. But I’m 25 and if you want to, you can take a look at each genre that consists of colored individuals and you’ll see that the shaved head on the sides (more now than before) has always been in style. It’s called a taper fade. I’m also located in jersey. It has always been the style here even while my brother was in high school. My brother is 40. Lol have a good day, buddy.
