Nice to see you again! You changed the name of your channel I see! While I don't wear much makeup I'll do keep an eye for your skincare video reviews. You're like one of the only You Tubers in the skincare space I've seen who has kitties as I've seen them in your videos before! I love that. Are you able to get K18 in SA? If you can, I highly recommend the K18 molecular repair hair mask. It's probably better than the Redken.

When I studied Deportment and Grooming back in the dark ages, I was told that Redken was one of the best brands. Their shampoo is PH balanced and they formulated a shampoo to rescue thousands of animals who got stuck in that horrific oil spill back in 1998. It’s on my bucket list to try Redken. So many brands and such little time we have!

Redken was bought out by L'oreal and they reformulated everything in the last few years. They use to be the best along with Joico which was also bought out by Henkel and reformulated everything. I miss the old brands they were the best. They kept my hair like new even if I bleach but now they're garbage.

Both products are probably still better than supermarket brand shampoos…my mother used to buy them for our family and I ended up with terrible wax buildup in my hair. The salon saved my hair with Joico! A good shampoo is worth the splurge!

I didn't know that they rescued animals from the oil spill! I use to use the All Soft range which was divine, but then other more affordable brands arrived on the scene. So I switched and never had any regrets. But when I took a chance on the acidic bonding range, I was very pleasantly surprised. It seems to tick all the boxes for me!

I stopped using Redken many moons ago. For a while, they were touted as the best, but then they lost their innovation. Many other brands have surpassed them over the years, I agree. There is nothing else in their range I would use, except for the acidic bonding line, which as I say, pleasantly surprised me. I view the brand as a little old fashioned to be honest.

It's trial and error I guess. I'm also wary of shampoos that are "sulphate free". What else do they add to the formulas to create the lather then? I believe it's all a load of marketing hype.
