I’ve been a straight natural for years and love it… almost 10 years. My hair is a couple inches shorter than yours. It gets straighter and shinier than it did with a relaxer but just doesn’t last a long.
Don’t forget heat protector though. It will eventually get brittle if you do it too often without it. Also do it slow enough the first time that you don’t have to do several passes. The less heat the better.
Your hair is still relaxed in certain areas. This result gives a yaki look, and the length is great. Skip the relaxer, try the straight natural. I'm tired of relaxers because I hate the re-touch process. I'm going straight natural.
When we get older our hair can change, after a baby being born or pregnancy it affects our hair. Over processing the hair no heat protection can do this. Stress and worries a medical dr.
