There's only two things I focussed on and it helped me to grow back my hair: 1. Lowering the factors that cause hair fall like anxiety, fried and spicy food, smoking. 2. Boosting the factors that cause hair growth like adding Coco Onion oil and shampoo, using reactivate hair growth serum of litlleextra, drinking enough water, fresh fruits, and veggies.. What ever the reason there is always a solution to grow your hair. Just remain confident and do not stress over it.
Man this reactivaate serum is effective. You must have self-belief and must do two things as follows: Increase your water intake and reduce stress levels.
Wow! This is a fantastic very informative video. Thank you Dr. Liu for doing it. How do you use the hair mask, after shampooing instead of the regular conditioner once a week? Thank you again.
Yes any in leave heat protectant spray like from bumble and bumble or living proof for scalp it’s tricky as they can feel greasy. I always prefer a hat but sun bum and cools both have scalp spf
The time I experienced hair fall, I did all these to effectively reduce it - .. Make a habit of doing hot oil scalp massages into your routine. .. Avoid very hot water when washing your hair. .. Protect your hair from excessive sweat. .. Use a wide-toothed neem wood comb to brush out wet hair. .. Decrease your sugar and unhealthy food intake. .. Use gentle anti hair fall shampoo and oil like littleeextra coccconion. .. Maintain a positive mindset for general well being.
Nizoral saved my hair. I definitely had itchy scalp and I thought it was due to dryness. My dermatologist told me to use it and I’ve been using it once a week for about two months and I have SO much hair growth and hardly any fall out. Seriously amazing stuff
Great tip about using anti dandruff shampoos as part of a hair loss treatment plan. But sulfates in a shampoo doesn't automatically mean harsh, lab muffin beauty science did a great video on that recently :)
Sadly, Vanicream shampoo turns my short, color-treated hair into straw and makes my scalp dry and itchy. It's not good for color-treated hair. Necessaire, sadly, strips my color. I think it works best as a clarifying shampoo. I have yet to find a fragrance-free shampoo that is both good for color-treated hair and a dry scalp. Still on the hunt...
I'm always on the lookout for a new anti-dandruff shampoo. I've used Nizoral in the past and it was so drying that it took months to restore the moisture I lost. I've been using the Head & Shoulders Royal Oils shampoo but, I've been pretty meh about it. Will definitely try your FAB and Kerastase picks! And Dr. Jenny, your skin looks AMAZING!!!
Thank you for making this video! I have very curly hair, and have been having a lot of break outs on my scalp and my face, largely I think due to the products I have been using. It's definitely stressful trying to learn how to take care of my hair and scalp, but also finding products that won't negatively impact my skin. I 100% wrote down all of the information so I can refer back to it when I go personal care shopping! :)
I just saw one at Target today, I was surprised but it did say in small letters “formerly known as Clean and Clear” so maybe it was bought by that brand ..?
Yes, more of these. I also found the tip about an anti-dandruff shampoo once a week interesting. (I once heard it was good to use, so I used Head and Shoulders once a week, for a while until I forgot why I was doing that) I do wash my hair every day because I work out at the gym and my hair is on the floor and I get sweaty. I have fine, straight hair, color treated and am 68 years old. Before I go to the gym, I massage my scalp and then brush and then put Moroccan oil on the ends and center of my hair. I then use a thick plastic coil hair "elastic" to tie my hair on top of my head. I then work out, come home, shower and shampoo. I alternate shampoos trying to stick with salon brand shampoos and conditioners, except for a hair loss shampoo and conditioner I get at CVS once a week. I use a clarifying shampoo once a week and then immediately use a hair mask. I use either Colleen Rothchild or Morroccan oil hair mask. I do use a lot of styling products, a heat protectors and my one drug store hair product Fructis hair anti fuzzing serum. I then lightly dry my hair, then use a round styling tool, Revlon heated brush to style my hair. Once a week I will put rollers in my hair for date night. But I am always on the lookout for tips on hair care. Thank you for those suggestions.
Everything that you have been doing to your oily scalp before hitting the gym is actually going to make you scalp a lot oilier than it already is. I don’t know about you, but as someone who suffers from oily hair, massaging my hair, then combing my hair through, and then especially using Moraccan oil or any type of oil are definitely NO NO’s for me. Even if you think that applying Moraccan oil to the tips of your hair is harmless, but I assure you that the oil will definitely spread out through the rest of your hair, including your scalp sooner that you can imagine. Also using a plastic coil to tie your oil treated hair on top of your head is even much worse bc it will actually make your oil treated hair come into full contact with your scalp, thus making it much easier to transfer the oil from your hair to your scalp. Why do you do all this before hitting the gym? Why not wait til you get out of the gym and then do all this before taking a shower and washing your hair? Just thinking about what you have been doing to your hair makes my scalp feel a lot more oilier and greasier and also much more itchy than it already is. Offff. I don’t even want to think about what you are doing to your oily hair anymore bc it only makes me feel extremely uncomfortable. Offfffff 😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😰😰😰😰😰😰😰
@@ariella4444 I don't have oily hair. I have 69-year-old dry and colored/highlighted hair. I want the Morroccon oil to penetrate my ends while I work out. I want it to stay on my ends for as long as possible. I only put 2 pumps in it. It washes out completely and my hair is soft and shiny. It looks like healthy young hair, and not like straw which is what I see with most 69-year-old women. My stylist always compliments the health of my hair and knows I do not damage it. I rarely have split ends and go to my stylist every 4 or 5 weeks. It is OK by me if a little Morroccan oil gets on my scalp. It is fine. I massage my scalp (first) with a clean dry rubber scalp massaging tool, not my hair. I like to help the circulation of my scalp once a day. That is a good time to do it, since that is the time I use a roller on my face and put serums and lotions and sunscreen on prior to going out to the gym.
Great information. I will be more consistent in using conditioner each time I wash, after hearing your explanation. My stylist also recommends a double cleanse with shampooing. The products I use now are from Davines (also recommended by my stylist). They’re not cheap, but work well.
Yes pls talk more about hair care and also more accessible and affordable products....I am wondering do you have clients who are black / biracial do you have suggestions for treating black hair ..??
Dr. Liu, I am finding your videos on hair care very informative. WRT hair loss, have you tried Harklinikken serum? I used it (while continuing Minoxidil) and found it has helped my hair a lot, but after 6 years of applying it, I am tired of how it leaves my hair sticky, etc, so am considering stopping. Would be interested in your professional opinion of the products.
Hi Dr. Liu, You provide great hair information. What shampoo and conditioner do your recommend for someone that has color treated hair that can help with dry damaged hair. Also, it's gets very tangled with the highlights. My hair stylist does recommend leaving conditioners to help with detangling.
Hi Doc, Your Dove DermaCare link is dead. There is 2 versions of the Dove Shampoo "Soothing Moisture" and "Dry and Itch Relief", which one would you recommend?
How do you figure out how porous your hair is? Also, how do you know if your hair does/does not like “protein/peptides”? Finally, if I’m only washing my hair 2x a week, can I combine some of the suggestions, since you mention, ‘use once a week, use once a week’ and I don’t have enough washes to get all the product in. Thanks! Great video. Any thoughts on water temperature for managing eczema/seborrheic dermatitis?
Thank you for informative easy to understand videos ☺️ I didn't understand what my hair needed, it was getting super oily and my curls were not thriving, but now with you recommendations I am doing great!! What I am using because of your video is: Clarifying shampoo: Oaui detox shampoo Normal shampoo: Ogx thick and full biotin collagen shampoo Anti dandruff 1x wk: Nizoral anti dandruff 1 percent kenocoterol Conditioner: Briogeo don't despair repair conditioner) My hair isn't falling flat, has volume, is so soft, is so curly and not clumping because of oiliness!
Hi Jenny, my hair is thick, wavy, and coarse, and I’ve noticed that keratin always makes my hair super dry and tangly. Would you happen to know why and what treatment products would you recommend?
Shampoo bottle says that let product into hair for 2-5 min. I get bored while waiting. Is It really important to wait that amount of time before rinsing shampoo off?
I have a dandruff and I am planning to use nizoral antidandruff shampoo weekly once or twice What other shampoo can I use during other hair wash days for the week
@@emilyjennings8 P&G and Unilever have started incorporating this ingredient to H&S and Dove outside the US. It's less likely to sting around the eyes and is more effective for dandruff compared to Zinc Pyrithione.
thank you for the info. i was told the exact opposite by my hairdresser of 20 years - to brush my long thick hair while in the shower to prevent breakage, not afterwards...???
Thank you for your amazing tips! I just found you and I’m watching your videos everyday!! Please, can you recommend good hair brushes and comment on styling rotating brushes and types of flat irons?!
Doctor. What would be a good shampoo and conditioner for hair that has been treated with a chemical straightener ? Do I buy products for straight hair or for curly hair ?
I try to skip a day in between shampoos but feel like the steam from showers flatten my hair even under shower cap. Not sure if that makes sense. Do you have any tips for that?
Do you have any recommendations for controlling gray hair? As I enter my 30's I'm seeing a lot of premature graying that is super course and wiry and it's been almost impossible to get my hair smooth and moisturized because of it.
I don’t think so, depending on your hair type and length brushing is not the most efficient and studies have shown excessive brushing not only doesn’t help with hair growth or health it can cause breakage. Best to use conditioner and post wash products is oils if you need
