@@nineleafclover But with some ambition and an effort you can make a great movie that both adults and kids enjoy. That's what they did with The Empire Strikes Back. No matter how old I get, I'll never tire of it. Can't say the same for the others.
I love the attention to detail. Can’t look like he’s been to a barber shop, and the one braid of hair to represent his learning process. George Lucas was a great story maker.
George's daughter playing with Ewan's discarded pieces of hair is pretty hilarious. Also, I love how this video was in my recommended feed a good decade after I first watched it. Nice blast from the past.
+CIarKent he was a padwan, which I don't think typically had long hair in the movies. as a knight in ep 2 it's longer. in 3 they modeled his hair to be more like in 4
+CIarKent as a student it might need to look professional, or at least uniform so you can look at a group and say they're probably learners. I need to find long haired people. with aliens with no hair it gets tricky.
@@user-ic4oh4lt5r Phantom Menace started shooting in the summer of 1997 though. Trainspotting was shot in the summer of 1995 and he had a buzz cut in that, so it's not crazy that it took about 1.5-2 years to grow his hair this long....
Was George's daughter stealing his hair? WHAT THE FUCK! "Don't take anymore!" I can't imagine a scenario where this has to be told to someone, when it comes to hair anyway.
Lucas has a reason for everything. Maybe the execution could have been better for the prequels, but the characters and basic story was on point. Prequels usually create massive issues and the prequels didn't, really.
I remember as a kid I asked my parents “can I cut my hair like that?” And straight up said “NO!” Haha to think this film is almost 20 years old. Good times.
When Ewan turned to look at the kid and the beginning I was just so shocked at how young he looked. I know this was at least uploaded in 2008 but for some reason it just shocked me
George: "That's the biggest trap people fall into in these kinds of movies, they go too far" Also George: "I think I might've gone too far in a few places"
+WunderGecko Fortunately his hair seems to grow back very fast (this video, for example, is from around 97...just THREE years at most- I know it was either in 94 or 95, I just can't remember which- after Ewan filmed Trainspotting, in which his character had a VERY short buzz cut!)! :)
In one interview Mark Hamill talked about George overseeing literally every detail, even Luke Skywalker's costume fitting for A New Hope. Aw, so cute when he kissed the little boy (one of the younglings)
George: so like basically the hair represents the learner and the braids represent the relationship between the ancient Jedi and the force and the ties represent the eternal bond of a Jedi and his pet cat. Not too weird Ewan: right. Yeah. Right
Wow I really miss George he maiby didn't always made the right choices but atleast he know what he did and he loved what he did he gave himself time with his work and didn't rush it
Some cosplayers can do better haircuts/styles for themselves. Lucas is obviously not a stylist so I just don't get what was in his mind when he imagined these weird styles. Prehaps Jar -jar was gave him the ideas.
@@fab92n15 Arogant? I did not knew him before the SW movies either. Also, what makes you think that actors are important? In the past it was a shameful profession. Even today why should i "worship" an actor over a teacher or a police officer, firefighter, doctor etc?
No joke after this movie came out there was this guy in my high school that had the hair with the rat tail thing on the side. It bugged the living shit out of me seeing that.
