Actually Safiya's video inspired me to cut my hair as well. I did learn from her mistakes and set up to mirrors so I can see the back and overdirected the hair back so that it's longer in the front even at the pigtails stage. It's worked!

Charles Fournier Phaneuf doesn’t work great for curly hair because when you cut it straight and then wear it naturally curly the curl pattern is uneven and looks choppy. You have to cut with the curl pattern to make it look like a nice cut

My mom cut my hair around a year ago..... it was so uneven and she used these HUGE scissors. Then, when I was in Europe, I got my hair cut. The hair dresser was like “who cut your hair? It’s uneven; you need to get a refund”... my mom and I laughed nervously. I’m bilingual and she said this in Albanian, I’m just translating. The lady cut my hair really nicely. I tried to cut my son’s hair when he was a kid. Hairdressers make it look so easy. Well he loved it all choppy and uneven. It took a while to convince him to let me take him somewhere to fix it.

My mother tried to cut my brother's hair once when he was a kid and he absolutely hated it. Next day, he stole money from my mum to get it fixed from a hairdresser. He was 8 years old back then and he went all alone to the salon. He was grounded almost for a month after that. 😂😂

I love Safiya. I had no clue Brad was the guy who did her hair in that episode. It was gorgeous. But I also love her dark short hair. She did go to a salon and got it fixed but I was happy she did it bravely. Lol
