I just call this a pony tail cut ✂️. Didn't realize I had been giving myself a wolf cut all these years. I have naturally curly hair and I think that's probably the best hair type to do this with. Do it wet scrunch it dry with your fave curly hair product. Beautifully layered without much length loss every single time.

Today my daughter walks into Thanksgiving with a total new haircut. Her hair was to her waist. I said..OMG..I love your hair. She said she cut it herself by watching one of your videos. You must give one hell of a good how to video.

I had something similar happen as with the 1st lady with the wolf cut. I didn't cut in 100% straight line & didn't blend it in at all and ended up with those steps. So I did it again & over directed into a single ponytail 5x,slowly sectioning & going up my head (idk if I make sense). After each cut I made sure I took off the same amount & point cut after doing the initial cut (I have dense hair) in order to blend it in. Took me like 2 hours to fix my mistake but my hair looked good & I didn't take a whole lot of length off either.

I'm gonna go from 2ft to a pixie cut soon and I'm excited because people have told me I'd look good with really short hair, but also terrified I'll hate it

9:50 the mom was actually cutting in between to bands so they could donate the hair. At least that's what I assume based on how much hair was cut off. You can definitely seen the two bands in each pony tail

She didn't brush out her crown, she just flicked a brush through and cut it! When you got long hair, you have to really comb it through from the scalp! 💚

when i was little, and my mom had to trim my bangs; she would put a piece of scotch tape across my bangs and then cut along the bottom of the tape line so that it would be straight. because i had a huge cowlick in the middle of my bangs and i was a wiggly kid. XD

my mom grew up in the 80s with no money so she basically taught herself how to cut her hair and her sisters. she does such a good job with cutting and dying and i’m so glad she knows a few things and not just cutting to cut!!!

I like to cut below the elastic on purpose, because I use it as a guard to make sure I don't cut too short, and make sure everything's the same length

So one thing I have learned in the last couple of days: (for my old damn self): a) Do NOT bleach hair at home. Not even maybe. b) DO NOT attempt to cut at home either. And c) yeah - NEVER grab for clippers. I have been stuck in my home for 3 years now. Literally, I got sick in 2019 and was in ICU... I couldn't be amongst people because my immune system was shut down. And then came Covid. I am still terribly immunocompromised and still stuck at home. 2020 never ended for me. I had long hair to start with... but I had to do *something* a few months ago because I was sitting on my long violet hair. I'm so glad that I never attempted to keep my bangs short, because that would have gone so many shades of wrong.... So - something: I did do the *above* the elastic cut of about 6" of the back of my hair and somehow, blessedly, I came out of it ok. I have the long long pieces that blend into the back, there's not a lot of difference there now. I credit my stylist who is no longer with us, thanks Covid, it was mostly all one length before starting. I'm not going to attempt to cut it again, no matter how long I stay in isolation. I do not regret the fact that I am coloring it with box color, only because I don't have much of another choice. Luckily my natural hair is somewhere between light ash brown with some silver starting to grow in. And, I only do the box color about twice a year, refreshing it with semi-permanent bright colors when my roots get too long... all one color because I would screw up anything else. Maybe by spring, it might be safe enough for me to try to find a new stylist, I hope. Because this gigantic mop has got to be tamed by someone better than me.

When I was in my early 30's I had wavy hair down to my butt. I arranged to go on a diving trip that would be one month in the Galapagos Islands with 3 or 4 dives every day. I went to the local salon and asked them to give me a super short pixie cut with shaved back and sides. The stylist was hesitant to cut it short, she and her manager mumbled to each other that I would regret it and be mad at them, so the stylist cut it to a below-the-shoulder bob and stopped to tell me how perfect it would be for my trip. I went home and shaved the rest off with trimmers. There are two problems. One, the water there is cold, and having cold wet hair for 30 days straight is not good for your health. Two, the currents there are strong and the hair would not have stayed put so I would constantly have had visibility issues with hair strands getting in my face. The other women on the trip all asked me to cut their hair before it was over. It's just hair. It'll grow back.

It’s better to not cut your hair before boot camp. It’s easier to leave it long so it can be put into a nice clean bun. Take it from someone who was told nearly her whole military career “stuart! your hair looks like shit! fix it!” and “brush your hair girl” I do brush my hair but it it not only thick but also fragile and broke constantly creating lots of chunky fly always and i hate using gel and hair products and still don’t to this day and I was in before we were aloud to wear ponytails, makeup,or earrings.

I have a cousin she’s 45 and she has always since I can remember cut her own bangs and she keeps them super short. It makes her forehead seem larger than it is but loves the look and I love her so I love her bangs too! I have super long hair like just above my butt and I don’t have bangs. I never looked good with bangs and haven’t sported them since I was a teenager in the 90’s
