Oh where were those towels when I needed them?! Unfortunately, my cats are feral and stray and the thought of trying to put them into the towels makes me break out in hives.😂 If only I could!
Thank you!! This towel may just save me! I do give my kitty a bath once a year, I swear I get under her fur but she is never dirty so I don't torture her more often than that (she was found in a storm drain right after a storm so water is not her favorite, understandably).
The more hairless they are, the worse the ear wax. It’s easier to manage if you do it weekly, though. I fostered a hairless boy during Covid- it was eye opening!
From what I remember cats deposit saliva on their fur by licking it, which is why their tongues are scratchy, and when you shampoo them they probably feel the need to do that immediately. It's funny when it's a hairless cat though
Some people think that hairless cats are disgusting or useless. But the truth is that they are just the same as cats with fur. Thank you for keeping these feline companions clean and healthy. You are an angel.❤ Edit: holy shrimp this is the mostest likes I’ve ever had!!! Thank you!!
I had absolutely no idea that hairless cats got so dirty. I was fortunate enough to have a cat (who had fur) that actually enjoyed getting in warm water and didn't mind baths. Harry was a funny boi, though. I had to be careful when I ran a bath for myself, if I left it running and walked out the door, he''d be right in it just walking his happy wet arse around the tub.... enjoying MY bath lol.
yeah they get sticky/oily if you don't bathe them. think really thin ear wax all over (& they do make more actual ear wax). they stain your furniture and can get skin infections.
@@indiatastic yep! The most important part to pay attention to is the SKIN INFECTION! Hairless cats will get sick if not cleaned regularly (iirc the correct is bathing them every week, some may go every two weeks tho)
It's so hard to clip my cats nails and he has just gotten worse with nail clipping. I usually can only do one to two nails at time before he starts biting and scratching and tearing me up. Now I cannot even do one nail or touch his paw without him thinking I'm going to clip his nails. I tried the other day and I got bit and scratched. I have a cut on my finger right now.
One of my cats does not give a flip, but the pther turns into a lion 😂 - I feel bad when they are long as I can her his click-clack sound when walking around the house. I do one nail each time he falls asleep. Roswell loves a mani and pedi!!!
I have some tips. Since hairless cats don't have fur on their heads or ears, put a shower cap on them (ik it sounds goofy) so it lowers the risk of an ear infection. Lowering the water level can also make the cat feel more comfortable.
I've seen someone use ear protection caps that are used to protect your ears from hair dye (they sell them at Sally's) and they put them over their cats ears so they hat 2 mini shower caps on their heads and it was the cutest thing 🥺
Also, add a towel or something to the bottom of the tub. A lot of animals don't like how slick the tub feels, especially underwater, so adding something they can get better grip on can be really helpful in calming them down.
They're not ugly to me, but beauty is subjective I guess. You don't have to think every pet is cute as long as they're still given plenty of love and attention regardless
Put a towel on the bottom of the tub and use less water. They will calm down if the "floor" isn't slippery. Having half that amount of water is still effective and less stressful.
It’s so refreshing seeing someone ACTUALLY care for the needs of their pets. Around where I live no one seems to even vaccinate their pets properly, and im called crazy for clipping my cat’s nails, brushing her, researching more about cat behavior etc ❤ Edit: y’all need to calm down. First of al as long as it’s not legally and morally considered animal abuse, you’re free to do whatever you want. Second of all, not all cats need baths. Most cats don’t need baths at all. But hairless cats do. But if someone bathes their cats that’s not abuse (some cats enjoy bath time or playing in the water when it’s hot). Clipping nails is not the same as declawing, some cats hurt themselves or others with their claws, and can get stuck in furniture and such. VACCINATING YOUR PETS IS IMPORTANT just like understanding your cat is not a dog or vice versa. They will need different care, but the same love. Lastly, outdoor cats have a lowered life expectancy than indoor cats. While outdoor cats live around 7-10 years, indoor cats go up to 15-20, this happens because of traffic, dogs or other predators, other cats and fights they might get into. Please do you research before adopting a new pet. All the information you need is at your fingertips, just watch some videos (I recommend Jackson Galaxy if you have cats), have an open mind and a humble heart because sometimes we are fucking it up. Just don’t add up to the almost endless suffering we have in this world by not caring for your pet. Be the difference you want to see. Or don’t. It’s up to you.
I mean you usually don’t have to bath them unless they are sick and you usually don’t have to clip their claws if they are an outdoor cat. But yeah everyone should research and brush their cats if they have a lot of fur.
@@theMyRadiowasTaken Do you mean that I make it easy for my self or what? Like cats clean them self unless they never learned how too and they are really efficient at clean them self. Also outside cats need their claws to hunt and protect themselves. They also trim them by scratching on trees. Like my old cat had the softest fur and we didn’t bath her, she had no health problems. My other old cat he were always outdoors because he didn’t like being in doors with his brother and his claws were trimmed most often because he trimmed them himself. And it’s recommended to bath your long haired cat every second months so it’s really no need to bath them more often then that.
@@pinkbutterflies260 Roswell had a heart condition and he sadly passed away/there is a video depicting his last day! Sad and sweet at the same time! It is a short video
What I love about cats is they literally talk to us. Adult cats communicate among themselves only with body language, but they hear us communicating with sounds, so they're trying to do the same
Oh My God, I have 2 cats and one of them would be like Roswell and the other would be like Lila. And I just can't get over Lilas meow at the beginning when she first gets put in the bath bath.❤❤❤😂
Try putting a towel or bathmat under them; it will make them feel more stable and less likely to jump out from fear of slipping. Also only have a couple inches or less of water until your cats get more comfortable with it. Maybe get some lickable tube treats that your cats like and only let them lick them if they are in the tub during bath time. If they like toys, there are also some electronic fish for cats that swim around on their own. Hope at least one of these help!
@@nazliasim5966 her cat Roswell ( male ) had heart issues and she took him to the vet and it wasn’t looking good and then around a week after she took him in a walk ( his fav thing ) and then she held him when they were walking and he passed away in her arms at 8 yrs old
Ive learned to put a towel at the bottom of the bath, it gives the cats some traction, so they don't feel like they're gonna slip. It made a huge difference with my cats the first time
Leela’s fur makes her look like a rich woman answering the door late at night draped in a fine fur robe only to be told by police that her dear husband has been found dead. She feigns shock and horror, but, little do the officers know, she was the one who killed him.
