1 onion / 1 oignon
1 tbs garlic / 1 cuillière à soupe poudre d'ail
1 cup green Peas / une tasse de petits pois verte
3 djon djon cubes/ 3 bube djon djon
2 tbs ( epis) / 2 cuillières à soupe épis
1 tsp salt / 1 cuillière à café de sel
1 chicken bouillon cube/ 1 cube Maggi
1 cup rice / 1 tasse de riz
2 cups of water / 2 tasse d'eau

The BLACK Maggi is CONCENTRATED mushroom. he color comes from the mushroom naturally. Usually the color comes from soaking and steeping the djon djon mushroom in water overnight. The mushroom is then disposed of and the water is used to cook the rice. When the Djon Djon mushroom is not readily available you use the cube instead. Some people also use both the cube and the water to make more robust flavor and intense color.

The original recipe is made with dried mushrooms(Djon Djon) the mushrooms are soaked or boiled in water to extract the flavor and color from the mushrooms but in this video she substituted the dried up black mushrooms with the cubes they r usually a concentrated version of something like chicken base and beef base so on n so forth

You measurements seem larger than you say! That’s more than one “cup” of rice and peas and def more than 3 tbsp of epis. Looks like a cup of epis. 2.5 cups of rice

You should be showing the real ( duri ak djon djon) with the natural product not the fake djon djon with all the chemicals and soooooo much salt that’s not right for people who don’t know the real stuff and we don’t call it black rice the name is Duri ak djon djon sorry sister you’re doing it the wrong way😡😡😡😡😡😡👀👀👀👀🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹

I use to make this a lot-but I don’t have any mushrooms where I am. Nor the Maggi. I usually use black beans 🫘 in mine.
