Not the taxes are only the reason for the increasing of the haj. Mostly it is by the Hotel and the so called 'services' in Mina and Arafat

I highly agree with this comment.

They aren’t exactly companies they’re mostly a family owned business where they own a hotel or bring hujjaj to other hotels, these people made their money through hajj. Due to Covid and the restrictions they made zero money because it’s their only source of income. I guess they just want to put food on their table since hajj is only a few days and the money they make should last them the whole year.

@@HajjUmrah I'm on my forties now, have a low pay, long hours lifestyle, and have completely ruled out hajj for the foreseeable future given the choice of paying my kids tuition fees and a deposit for a house OR a family hajj. I understand rizk is from Allah swt but feel like I fall in a non profitable segment of society not worth catering for by our muslim tavel sector, therefore will wait patiently and watch from afar.

Haj is only wajib for those who have the financial capability. Make the intention to go for haj first, Allah SWT will grant you the means because if you already resign to the fact that you will be unable to make haj because of other worldly pursuits . there are some diffrences with counries. For germany we go the normal Air condition in 2017. 2016 some Motawwif build tents with small climatization, but that was the worst idea i saw. 2017 the Muassasa build the tents with Air condition and charged around 1000 SAr per person. Without pre announcement.

@@HajjUmrah there are a couple of factor... Also are to blame are the ticket agents group tours who previously where taking ppl moneys for very poor service.....even ppl who hace money it is alot of money to take a family.

As far as I know, cost of Hajj is a pilgrims responsibility and that is one of the factors that makes Hajj waajib for an individual based on their ability. the Saudi government builds expensive infrastructure rising cost of Hajj reflects on the ability of people to make the hajj, so I hope that Hajj will continue to stay affordable for all Muslims and not just for select group of people. In places like Malaysia and indonesia the government have special Hajj funds that helps pilgrims too.

There is no fee for Hajj itself. The cost of Hajj is determined mostly by the agency that organize Hajj in each country and these costs include airplane tickets, rent food.... etc. The man is talking about the cost of services and accommodations and not fees for performing Hajj.

Ms Rabiya, of course the led to this. But let me also ask you one thing: Each year more and more people are asking for higehr standard hotel with more luxury and always saying the same words: Money is not important it should be more luxury. Do the customers not have also a role in this?

Hajj is not a holiday, it's a spiritual journey and we should not be looking for such luxury...it should be the essentials to pursue the pilgrimage....

Be very careful how you word your du'aa. I once witnessed an elderly African woman trying to leave the Haram but was afraid to get on the escalator as I'm quite sure she was not used to it. There were hundreds of hujjaaj (hajjis) who were "burdened" by her long hesitancy.

Your intention may have been a select people, but your wording wasn't restricted and can thus be applied to other than them. As a side point, it is from the way of the salaf to make du'aa for the rulers and not against them. I would advise you to ask Allah to guide them and grant them tawfeeq to do what is best for the ummah.

hajj is only for arafat around 1000 Dollar brother. But problem is this is only for those who live in makkah. Others have to pay for other serviices also, wheich makes haj prices so high.

you dont have to travel too much in time. only thirty years ago we went by bus. normal tents in arafat and mina without AC. and no hotel. we stayed in houses and thats it. And it was a lifechanging soultreating experience.

The Saudis blamed the middle men so the haj agents are no longer in business and are not required and yet the price has more than doubled. Please explain. There has never been age limitation since the dawn of our history which we now have. We have had many pandemic in the past as well like the black plague and cholera and has that affect haj and the cost of haj? The only difference is the war in the south against those who differ ideologically.

Its not possible because of security and logistics reason. Imagine if it is your first time going there with nobody to guide you. Brother you are mixing things together. Hajj and zakat are different things. People dont pay less when they go to hajj. Believe if every muslim pay the zakat they have to there wont be popr people in muslim countries
