Mr cairns used to drive us 3rd 15 boys to Wairoa back in 1992. I’ll never forget we were in the van on the way home all of us singing best of my love, the eagles. Every time i hear that song its the time stamp in my life, my diary of where I was with mr cairns and the boys, Mr cairns used to make 900 of us come back into the hall if one person spoke.discipline he taught us we carried on into our lives I’m 50 this week. But it’s like yesterday I was doing PE no shirt raining no shoes, he would pick up the surfers in the morning from the rectory. This fulla deserves a state funeral.
