I wish my Stanford University courses were like this, enthusiasm, not just showing me stuff and lecturing. I already know these things, but it's a good refresh in approach. I was an English teacher for seven years, and this guy and I share similar styles in approaching stuff. What student doesn't like that? Most do. Thanks, Darren.
802.11s started as a Study Group of IEEE 802.11 in September 2003. It became a Task Group in July 2004. A call for proposals was issued in May 2005, which resulted in the submission of 15 proposals submitted to a vote in July 2005. After a series of eliminations and mergers, the proposals dwindled to two (the "SEE-Mesh" and "Wi-Mesh" proposals), which became a joint proposal in January 2006. This merged proposal was accepted as draft D0.01 after a unanimous confirmation vote in March 2006.
IEEE 802.11s is a draft IEEE 802.11 amendment for mesh networking, defining how wireless devices can interconnect to create a WLAN mesh network, which may be used for static topologies and ad-hoc networks. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ;-)
Its the 802.11s thats uses the a pragmatic simple approach to mesh routing. A mesh network is a simpler subset of a general ad hoc network where little or no mobility is expected and only occasional route fluctuations should occur. However maximum throughput and minimum delay are far more important than just maintaining basic connectivity, which is often the best one can achieve when there is a high degree of mobility. And can be used the Better Approach to Mobile ad hoc Networking (BATMAN)

IEEE 802.11s This is a HWM or Hybrid Wireless Mesh Protocol, and is also known as 802.11 mesh. This can create a link between multiple 802.11 devices and multiple non-802.11 devices.
For Some reason darren on youtube this video stops on 4:52 right after you say enable, and then on the revision 3 tv app in chrome browser i was able to see the whole video no problem. Idk y this happened and i dont think its my computer but i thought id let u know in case there is a prob somewheres
is it possible to be in a building with say multiple wifi access points like at airports, libraries and such and be connected to more then one at a time to increase your bandwidth/speed and such if so what would it take if not why not
