11:33 min in the chat on the left is my live reaction to the video anyway its good to see content like this being produced as it helps the newer people who want to get better at carriers any form of content that covers a topic in an analytical way from a notable point and stopping for a bit to cover it to another notable point and stopping for a bit tends to be better as you can drive the points in better at a specifc scenario for example at 7:15 when it comes to pre dropping. Would like to see one on Midway specifically because Midway is one of the most popular carriers and people tend to even mess up on it still. Maybe in the future when you get more comfy with surface ships you could stretch out to them as well as a thought for the future just make sure the first ep is minotaur if you do proceed with this idea.

Rei, you made a very good video about your thoughts and gameplay decisions. Like you, i`m trying to spot and hunt down cruisers when playing a tier 8 or 10 carrier. Radar cruisers have the highset priority for me, because they`re the biggest threat for my destroyers. Yes, i learned a lot from your cv academy videos! And i`m hungry to learn more. In my very first battle with Manfred von Richthofen i focussed on cruisers and was able to hunt down an A.Newsky, then i got a damaged Edinburgh, then i did cap resets on a Brindisi and helped my team to kill her. Next kill was a Minotaur with team help, and the last was a damaged Colorado from a fail division. My last shenanigan was to kill 7 skip bombers from opponents Nachimov, he didn`t react to my fighters 😂 and lost his whole squadron. He had only 1 kill. I left the battle with nearly 136 k damage, 4 kills, 6 cap resets, 90 k spotting damage and 3 (!) compliments. The damage was not really high, i know, but it was on important targets. The Colorado was for getting a higher points advantage for the win, was an easy kill with the AP bombers. I just did what i learned from you. My last cv battle was with Loewenhardt, alone, very early in the morning. Again i was able to do what i`ve learned, and this tier 5 and 6 battle went very well for my team and me. Got an Emerald first, then i had to attack and sink 2 pushing BB`s, one was very close after our Fuso, the other tried to get the flank and failed. Last kill was the heavily damaged opponents Furious with the dive bombers. Was close to a kraken, but another ship sank the last target, a Kongo. Was ok for me, helping win a battle is the best a cv player can do. Farming BB`s only is useless in most battles. It gives a high damage count and maybe a good PR for the stats, but it rarely helps win the battle. Specially FDR is too often used for damage farming on BB`s, but she is much stronger when she can hunt down island-hugging radar cruisers. "Steering" opponent cruisers with torpedos so they show broadside to other cruisers or 1 or 2 BB`s is even more fun for me than farming BB`s and makes gameplay for my teams destroyers better, so they can take some caps, gaining a huge advantage for a win. If i recall didn't WG change the Carrier ammo cost from number of planes lost to how much ammo you use? Not that it really matters but they probably did that to discourage pre drops. Still, good have some good CV videos and commentary that is USEFUL, Alt title "the mind of a CV captain". As opposed to "LOOK AT HOW BROKEN THIS SHIP IS! LOL!" (looking at you flamu) or ya know people just complaining about CVs in general (cant say i blame them, CVs have fallen pretty hard from grace). That ship skin looks nice on the planes too. Clean, simple and shinny. Edit: the biggest thing with fighter spotting is taking into account the search radius and the enemy AA range.
They most likely did it for the economic separation cuz you make much more credits than before. Doubt they would want people to stop doing a tactical play. Glad you liked the video
@@ReiYukihyo Thanks. Its just nice to have some useful CV videos. On a side note, if for whatever reason you try to use the fighters like WG expects, Enhanced reactions is all anyone ever needs. The difference with and without that skill is NUTZ.
Mainly did it as a troll but since the super carrier fighters only last a bit under 30 seconds active time, it's not very good to run such build. What we want to see is a Fighter that can last 1 minute (normal CVs) + instant tag without any delay (super CV fighters).
Oh man, am I glad I watched this video today. Just had a two-human co-op game in my Hakuryu that went almost the full 20 minutes, and everything this video taught me was necessary for the win. Three kills, nearly 275,000 damage, and a last minute clutch... THANK YOU.
Ayo i really like your CV academy video, but i just wonder what server you playing at? I found playing CVs nowaday is quite tough due to various strong AA ships, and meta also varies server by server. I found people are so much grouped each other in asia server, which makes it even harder to pick a target/increase average deal/ and maintain plane reserves - plane just melts down so the only thing i can do is predrop 3~4 shots with Hakuryu and hover around to maintain spots hoping that our BBs taking down AA ships, or rather take a single shot ending up with losing 2 groups of plane Also can you make a video on how to counter enemy CVs, not for the CV vs CV fight but for the fighter spawn position - fighters are often used for spotting enemy DDs, and some carriers tend to counter the DD-spotting fighters by pre-spawning fighters on their DD. How to counter enemy CV play by placing fighters(for spotting enemy ships or protecting our ships)and moreover how to counter play/chose a line to support our team regarding their fighter or when/how to avoid them to make a torpedo/bomb strike would be sooo nice
It is very close to playing the German line, I tend to go for German because of the attack rocket speed and the dive bomber heals but the J ships have a lot to offer as well. Good thinking here, a lot of it is what I do anyway but your advice does help me finesse my play and it shows in my results and the compliments I get.
Are you normally this aggressive when using the engine boost consumable? You used both of them within the first 5 minutes. Is there a time where you would conserve your engine boost?
Strong Game, it looks so easy when Unicums are playing CV. Which Techtree-Line would you recommend for an beginner i Cvs? Many are saying that the US-Line to Midway is beginner-friendly, many say the best line is the Japanese? Any Advices? Thanks in Advance. Take care.
US cv line teaches you the ropes of the class. Aiming, Targetting, all while having the benefit of being quite tanky both ship and squadron. Meanwhile IJN cv line teaches you plane management, quick strikes, and target prioritization / leading. IJN has highest impact if you can land most your ordinance since torpedo hit and citadel hit are unhealable.

Eagle has the consistent damage output and better farming potential but lacks in DD control as well as actually trying to carry. Think of Audacious 2.0. US has the burst damage but every few minutes, has the DD control capabilities, but prone to cv snipes as well as lacking the ability to deal with heavy AA matchmaker. US overall is saferand better for solo but I prefer Eagle when divisioning
