Back in the day, a "large screen" tv was like a 36" BOX. Now you can barely find a flat-screen TV below "50 in stores! My husband went looking for a 24" TV for a guestroom recently, and none of the stores kept them in stock! He had to go online to get one.

Hal, that's not what Zionism is. Zionism is the philosophy according to which Jews have a historical right to the land the state of Israel now controls, and several areas in the region that it does not. It was conceived from the beginning as a colonial project. I haven't heard anyone on the Palestinian side say Israel shouldn't exist. What they have said is that Israel's current government is oppressive and exploitative, and must perforce change. That is not equivalent to wiping the state or Jews out. Yes, there are Muslim extremists. Most in the West are as suspicious of their motives as we are of Israel's.
