I like the boot cut jeans best. Very flattering. Not sure about the faded areas on the front and back of the wide leg jeans, I think they would be better in a solid colour. I used to live in skinny jeans, great with boots,but now I prefer slim, straight legs. The wide legged jeans look great on you, comfortable and flattering. Thank you, Helen xx

Great vlog HMJ. I particularly liked the "wrapover" trousers - very flattering. The ecru top colour looks lovely on you and I liked the way you wore it finishing higher with the trousers. Pulling your top down over your hips only accentuates your long body and shorter legs more!

The turn up jeans look fabulous. I'm a complete jeans freak - adore them, but they are HATEFUL with the wrong fit. These look youthful, classy, and slimming - the perfect trifeca for us older women! I hope you liked them more on camera. They're perfect on you. The faded ones are great, but I don't like the fade placement on the back. The 'wrap over trousers' look brilliant too. Hi Helen, definitely think the first pair of jeans suited and fitted you best out of all these jeans, and were the most flattering. Not sure if it was the faded areas, or the shape of wide leg - but those ones didn’t seem as flattering on you. Also I think you could have sized down with all the wide leg ones. I understand about them being comfortable, but I think the Cotton Traders straight leg, which comes in so many lengths, or sculpt M and S jeans, would be great options for you. Xx

I loved the first pair of jeans that you wore. They're so flattering on you. I'm size 16 to 18 - depending on the shop - & have shorter legs too. At 5'4" the wide leg styles don't suit me. Hi Helen. I totally agree with you about being a fashionista! I’ve always loved fashion but I definitely don’t keep up with the trends.I find denim jeans are so tricky to get right but comfort is very high up on the list. I loved all the Xalara jeans on you - they’re not always the most flattering of garments but these were a great selection. I only wish they had an actual shop!🧡🍁🎃

The jeans look great on you Helen and I love the concept but unfortunately a 28 1/2 inch inside leg would be hopeless for tall people like me and your sister such a shame. I totally agree much easier to shorten things so why don’t manufacturers think about the missed opportunity of not catering for what is now, a growing market of taller women (forgive the pun ) Keep doing what you do we all enjoy it thank you.❤

I have two pairs of their jeans and one pair of trousers and absolutely love them. Loved the trousers you showed, very classy. Did you try on any just straight leg, solid colour jeans..?? The wide is ok but the faded white patches not sure. Looked like you'd sat on white paint, on the bum. Obviously very Comfy and looked like denim.

fABULOUS JEAN HAUL IN YOUR HALL! If I were to order a pair, I would need INSEAM LENGTH IN INCHES. I am about 5' 2 1/2" tall; very short legs....BUT when I looked at the sight, it was going to cost me $68 dollars for delivery to canada. which destroys the price point for me. oh well!!! You, on the other hand, looked terrific. I really liked the white top you wore. You have a great small waist and curvy hips, which can be a big help! I have an apple-ish tummy , so stretch is my friend, since my hips are avg.

Ahhhh those second ones- that is what I do to my jeans and linens - take the waist band off and sew a yoga band on instead!

Hi Helen, as you say they all look great and so comfortable. In some I think you could probably go down a size, but it depends on how much smaller the next size down would be. I am not a fan of wide leg trousers so I would not buy. One comment mentioned safety. I can remember when I did have some wide leg ‘back in the day’ that I went upstairs bare foot and caught my big toe in the leg and tripped up! Interesting about the stretch cotton you used to hem the jeans you altered. I will look in the info you have put on, but have you ever used a twin needle to get the same effect as the manufacturer? I have with mixed results, so interesting to know your thoughts as I know you sew. I phrased this another way adding ‘er’ to sew and it looked like something to do with drainage so had to amend! Thanks for filming. You always make me smile with your honesty and comments - so thank you.

Hello Helen, I enjoyed your video on halara jeans and it has peaked my interest. I have a somewhat unrelated question on an issue I struggle with. I noticed you in that beautiful white cashmere turtleneck and I could not help but wonder how you prevent makeup marks around the neck area getting on your clothes. One needs to bring the makeup down over your jaw to blend and I seem to always get makeup stains on my clothes. I am interested in how you handle this issue.

Well, tbh I haven't really found it much of an issue. If you use setting spray and blot with a tissue, I usually get away with it. .... sorry I'm not much help. xx

I’m definite a convert to wide leg jeans, just careful not to go too wide as you can get a bit tangled and trip up. How long are these jeans, I’m 31 inch inside leg usually and get a bit tired of flappy short legs. Can’t get over how stretchy they are, maybe they will be good for my 92 year old mum, who still loves a pair of jeans. Levi’s and Wranglers sitting in the bath to shrink them. They all looked great.

They all fit you well but I agree the turn ups and slim leg are the least flattering. Wallis used to do a fabulous stretch jean, I had them in every colour, but they stopped making them. Will definitely give Halara a look. I'm not so keen on the worn look on the bum though, I prefer an all over colour. How well do they wash?

Great video Helen. I'm so sorry but I don't think wide leg jeans are flattering at all, no matter how comfortable they may be. In my eyes you can't beat M&S for comfortable jeans. Helen I have a pair of Halara flare leg trousers that I purchased a couple of years ago which I love , so I'm very tempted to try their jeans only thing is I do not like the light patches on the legs - back and front, it just look weird.

Hellllooo Helen❤ I like the the first pair of jeans best Helen, as you said it's great when you find jeans that a comfortable I am inbetween sizes just now so I'm not buying much on the bottom half till my weight settles down thank you for your video❤❤ 🤔

So interesting There are adverts everywhere on social media for this product and I have been quite curious about them so a very big thank you Helen for being the ‘Guinea pig’. I’m not keen on faded legs but the fit looks great and I know they are comfortable because you say so. I was shouting at the screen when you talked about ladies sticking to the narrow legs despite their torso turning into a block. I can say this because that is the shape I am developing despite my best efforts. What we need is balance so I do not wear tight trousers any more and stick to straight or slightly flared legs. I am tempted by the wide leg but I am only 5ft 2 inches so perhaps not. Dare I say your bottom looks very shapely too where as I am certain mine would look like a flat pancake 😂. Did you find they enhanced your posterior ? What am I saying ! Anyway thanks a bunch xx
