100%, I honestly thought Viggo is the only man who can be at his hottest when all covered in dirt, but seems like casting directors did their homework well, Charlie Vickers absolutely fills these shoes! Will be such a loss if now he will simply be in his Sauron attire all the time
Just here to remind everyone that Mairon, also known as Sauron, also known as Halbrand/Annatar, genuinely started with good intentions of bringing order to a chaotic world. But his time with Morgoth and having power corrupted his motivation of bringing order to just dominion for the sake of dominion
Please never stop vidding Halbrand. THIS IS SOOO GOOD !!! Your timing is impeccable and I gasped many times ! The end. And also around 1:50. Absolutely love it. I'm on the Halbrand is Sauron theory and yet I doubt often, same as you. I can't wait for next friday.
He never intended to stay low. The fact that everyone believes he really wanted to redeem himself and that he loved Galadriel is the very proof of Sauron's immense talent as a master deceiver. And I admit I love them together but you can't believe ANYTHING he says
@@Meggimagine i agree. He deceives not only characters in the show but also people who watched it, even after revealing his true identity. I am not a big fan of this show but i certainly like how they portrayed sauron so far.
Sauron says he is looking for 'peace' but he also says he doesn't see any difference between peace and rule. His peace doesn't just end up as black smith. He would try to take over middle earth anyway with or without galadriel.
i do find it interesting that Halbrand/ Sauron did genuinely give up, he was genuinely trying to be a human and trying to do something different with his life. or at least id did a very good job in making it look that way. one way or another it would have just delayed the inevitable with him, Sauron is simply his nature now. i didn't really want them to humanize Sauron but now that were here i mine as well be interested.
@@kathybrem880 that's like saying a politician lies, its obvious that his fair form gave him an edge in properly communicating and forming relationships with humans which is what he did that in the books. i thought them giving Sauron more a potentially redeemable personality is new and interesting
@@keevajazz6286 Agreed. Having the chance for redemption and losing it or turning away from it makes for a more interesting character arc than "I am evil for the sake of evil because evil." I can see this take on Sauron and still find him to be an evil bastard of the highest order because of who he becomes.
The books do say that Sauron is a master of manipulation, so doing a very good job of seeming genuine in his false character is exactly what we'd expect regardless if he is genuine or not. I will say that when he says things like "when they find out what i've done, they'll cast me out and so will you", that is kind of weird, but I'm gonna need more evidence than that. Also, that fact that he started out in Galadriel's head as her brother makes me think he is just playing her. It's not what I think a genuine person would do.
This edit has a chokehold on me. Every time I rewatch it, I get more and more impressed with the timing, cross cutting, storyboarding, etc. Amazon should pay you bc you make the show seem better than it is.
Ahhh another fire video! (Am I too early?) haha! Once again thank you! Hands down my favorite character in this series. Love all the shot selections in this video accompanied by the song choice! Let us have a prayer circle once the finale is out 🤣
I don't think he's Sauron. I'm really here for his story as it is claimed. I just want to know more because he's a really neat character and so interesting.
Final episode reveal his Sauron.. Yes I'm heartbroken too.. Wanted him to stay as Halbrand a mere mortal from the Southlands, he would have a better shot with Galadriel..
@JoanTheMadXxX XxX Reminder that Sauron even in the books set Pre-Hobbit was actually hot af. That's how he deceived everyone, especially in the Second Age. It's only later that he's stuck in the Obviously Evil form
Almost painful to watch how close 'Halbrand' came to actually reforming. Tolkien would have always allowed for that possibility - but in the end, he just couldn't take the final step and let go of his pride.
This isn't the first time either. In both the actual books and the movies, Saruman was given the choice to repent and atone, but he refused. Both times, that was followed by immediately getting stabbed in the back by Wormtongue
@@JohnPeacekeeper Yes, a similar situation there. Of course, Sauron had far more blood on his hands even than Saruman, so it would have been a harder journey anyway.
Really, really fine job! Your selection and organization of the clips are spot-on, and you've made the clips just long enough to convey the sequence of events, but not so long as to break the rhythm. You've picked completely appropriate background music, and you modulate the volume just right. I don't know what you do for a living - it's none of my business, of course - but this seems entirely professional.
In Tolkiens works, he disguised himself as Annatar....described as fair to look at. It enabled him to gain the trust of people he wanted to use and manipulate. Evil is not always ugly.
It’s weird because I actually thinks the character of halbrand works well even without the Sauron part. A skilled warrior who try to put the violence he did beside him, and wanted to leave a simple smith life and forget his past. They were even theory like he would have become a nazgul or the dead king in the third movie, who broken his oath to isildur.
Sauron 'literally' begging -: I have been searching for my peace for many years For both our sakes let me keep it Guyladriel the lady of the tube light -: Halbrand Sauron-: Dont start but did she listen, did she ?, She had to drag him into everything, stir shit up, make the guy have PTSD, and when shit hit the plan 😂
