After a 4 year wait, it is finally ready. The Haldon Forest black trail is back in action! In the sunny weather, I hit the trails in Devon, then ventured down in to Cornwall for a surf. What a weekend.
Striking MTB gold while out hunting for epic off piste trails. These are seriously fun!

Hey Ollie, good to see this open again. When I was at Haldon a couple of months ago one of the rangers came up to me as he had seen me talking about the black in one of my vids. He told me that there was some planned forestry work to be completed imminently. He also told me that it would open again this year if they can get the work done BEFORE the ground nesting birds settle. The birds are ok with the bikes if the trails are already there when they arrive, but they don’t like it is the trails come after they have started nesting. Forestry really pulled their fingers out to get it done in time 👍🏼

There used to be some wooden features in the woods to the left of the climb back up from the black section

Hey Ollie I was at haldon yesterday and rode offpiste and the red and black Me and my mates found some new official jumps. It is near the start of the red and the green trail. It was not officially open but the trail builder said we could ride it 😅 it was so fun and best at haldon forest 👍🔥 It is quite short and fast and flows very well. The fence said kiddens trail under maintenance but it’s definitely new and it must and it’s going to be a great extension Will let you know when it officially opens up. Been enjoying your content and looking forward to seeing the videos when you fix your old orange voodoo bizango. Missing the og haldon videos even though your new ones are better Thanks from Jed

That’s amazing news! Haldon definitely needs a few jumps. There isn’t anywhere around there for people to practice on. I’ll have to get back down to try them. The orange bizango is still in the garage. Hopefully I will have some time to put it back together this winter. Fingers crossed.
