Haley Adams Finally Explains Her Side of the Story…

CrossFit Mayhem is a much bigger and diverse operation than HWPO, TTT or PRVN. For Rich to oversee Haley's training is saying a lot. He has 3 kids, a farm, coffee business, Mayhem Nation, Train With Rich, Reebok shoe contact, buffalo meat business, online training, RU-vid videos and 2 CrossFit teams. Plus he put Cookeville and Tennessee on the CrossFit map.

I'm confused. I thought it was normal for athletes in general to have multiple coaches with a primary coach who manages everything. And if all work together with the same goal it should be fine. For any other athlete, they have multiple people like a primary coach, strength and conditioning coach, physical therapist, mindset coach etc. Am I missing something?

Waow she answered the question, why do you want to make an issue when there is none. Just say you don't believe her, and move on. Gosh you ameture commentators trying to create conflict where there is none.

I think the best case scenario is to have a strength & conditioning coach (like Rich) do the overall programming, with specialized coaches overseeing her movement / technique within those specialized aspects, and with the conditioning coach taking input from specialists to incorporate into the overall programming. For example, Rich could set aside a certain training block during a phase closer to the games for swimming, then consult the swimming coach for the specifics of that block and the swimming coach could work with Haley at the pool on techniques while running her through the program. It sounds like they are close to that, but I agree with you that they aren’t quite there and it seems like there’s no single person taking the reigns to guide the overall plan.

Mayhem still ain’t gonna be the fit for her. It’s sounds like they are winging it because they didn’t want to lose their top athlete. She should’ve left and went to PRVN or hwpo

It sounds like this is the new approach to being an elite athlete. One where you have a coach for very specific things and then one coach oversees it all. Clearly she identified this as a necessary step to becoming an elite athlete. This is why regular CrossFit athletes can never and will never be able to compete on level like the top ones do.

There was a comment on one of your other videos and I completely agree, you content quality is going down, your just giving opinion and not a lot of facts.

I think it's a good idea to switch things up, but I don't know if she will make the jump to surpass Tia and Mal. Then for the third podium spot, it will be tough going against Laura, Emma, Brooke and possibly Annie. I wish her the best, but it's going to get tough.

You so wrong on this input saying she put her foot down. She been talking bout for a year and a few months. After rich retired he knew he want to be part of Adams training. Even said it in her first year of making top 10 that she'll be the face of mayhem..hell still help with others but be more focused on her in the barn. Her step back from. Tbis year was a must to re focus & I bet she miss being out there in the 2023 games. So the fire is burning stronger in her eyes

Good to know that everyone involved are in high spirits & hopefully on the same page. Haley will be hitting her athletic prime in next 3 yrs & the work on her strength side of things will probably bear fruit in that time as well (if all goes according to plan). She'll either be the fav to win the 2025 CrossFit games or fail spectacularly & we may see Laura, Emma, Mal, Amanda & Danielle play musical chairs with the podium. Would love to see Haley getting there. I wish her all the luck🤞🏽

She “wanted” but in the end of the day she “spoke”. Mayhem didn’t know what she wanted because she was quiet and didn’t actually “speak” what she wanted. No one knows if you don’t speak up. Everyone has said in the past that Haley would do Rich’s workouts and then go run 10 miles on her own. Hard to be coachable when you did what you wanted but never spoke up

Not prioritizing mental health and burnout is plaguing CF but these athletes for whatever reason don’t speak on it

Stop looking for problems man

The best CF athletes have an established background in one or more other sports. Haley does not. Makes her place in CF even that more remarkable.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Haley's ceiling is Emma Lawson now. While Emma's ceiling is at Tia level. Just a lot of resources for someone who MAY get on the podium.
