Haley turned down every major record label last year to sign with Concord. Sanchez wishes just one major record label would sign her, while Haley, on the other hand, can sign with anyone she wants at any time. Haley has a wider vocal range than Sanchez and astronomically far more vocal dexterity. As Haley can sing all genres of music, while Sanchez is primarily a R&B and a Soul singer. However, Haley can even sing R&B and Soul better than Sanchez. Not to mention, Haley has generated astronomically far more views on RU-vid and Facebook relative to Sanchez too. Superstar. Makes me wonder just what that is. Someone the industry dresses up to do their bidding or someone who makes music for themselves and shares it with the world. She has done a lot outside of strictly music, with voice acting and actor acting. I'm not sure people who really appreciate what she's done over the past dozen years would be that big of fan had she had her soul sucked out of her to represent a label. I'm not saying she couldn't have done what she wanted (Bonnie Raitt did) but her experience around both AI and her recording contract certainly did nothing to bolster taking that route.
The judges were awful to her throughout the competition. American Idol lost all credibility for me when Haley was voted off. She's clearly the most diverse and talented singer that's ever been on Idol.
And looking at her today boy they must be eating crow. I have such a profound respect for that girl. It was probably the best thing for her to have been voted off. They could no longer tether her or take advantage of her talent to their profit.

Just remember, America votes. It says more about how the average person doesn't realize talent, and appreciate someone as gifted as her. To me, she has the whole package. I don't get it either, but there are people out there that like rap better than singers, so what can you do?
Only she didn't finish third because of the judges - though granted 2 of them did nothing to encourage people to realize how great she was. The feckless country voters voting along party lines, so to speak, placed her third.
@@Jeweleye62 Oh Casey Abrams was excellent! Such a great and interesting guy tbh. Season 10 was in general, an extremely talented and diverse season which I loved. He's for sure in the top five, but I definitely wanted Haley to win, she was my absolute favorite, and I desperately wanted a finale with her and James Durbin, that would've fucking SLAPPED.

Come on, it´s a scripted, directed and produced tv show, it´s entertainment that brings in money to the network that shows it. Its all bout the money. Haley is on such a high vocal level that most people can´t understand her skill set anyway, that is the nature of the beast with todays music listeners. They want musical "fast food" and that´s what they get.
They weren't judging her. They were deliberately sabotaging her at the behest of the show's producers. Nonetheless, in the end they all miserably failed. As it was the almost unlimited power voting that American Idol permitted, as opposed to one vote per individual voting, that caused Haley to be ripped off.

There are many lesser known singers who are in a higher league than already famous singers (most of them autotuned). What a great year that was for Idol - surely it's apogee.. Scotty, Lauren, Casey, and yes, Haley, who got better as the series went on. I thought Casey was by far the most outstanding musician of the lot, and it's great to see them performing together still.

I am here because of the wave of YT recommendations I'm suddenly getting for Haley singing with the excellent Postmodern Jukebox. I realized I remember this girl from when I watched American Idol! She was fantastic back then, but boy, has Haley improved since. Seriously good, full of charisma & sultryness 🙌 J-Lo always seemed quite snarky imo.
Scotty McCreery won on the strength of his fanbase and power voting alone. With her impressive talent and stage presence, Haley Reinhart is the real winner of American Idol season 10.
Simon Cowell deliberately undermined Haley to sabotage American Idol because he was starting the X-Factor in the fall. He also did the same thing to Tori Kelly.
This is the first time I saw Haley on this show I have seen her many times after this and she is so much better than hear. I thought that she Yodeled to much like Maria Carey but when she does not do this style she is outstanding
Simon Cowell. As it was Simon's last season because he was starting his new competing talent show also on Fox called the X-Factor. Hence, at the time, Simon was deliberately undermining American Idol in favor of his new upcoming show. In fact, he not only rejected Haley, but he also rejected Tori Kelly as well. Season 9 would have been outstanding with both Haley Reinhart and Tori Kelly competing. Instead, season 9 was one of the most boring seasons of American Idol ever.
You could tell even then that JLo hated Haley for her outstanding ability and beauty. JLo would go on to sabotage her through unfounded criticisms, especially during the finale. JLo is a hateful person defending, what she perceives, as her territory.

If you actually pay attention you can see she actually has improved her technique and control a lot. She had potential and she capitalized on it. If it's really about "performance to you, then listen to her sing an older song vs a newer one with your eyes closed and you can tell her voice now is more polished and she has an outstanding amount of control.
At the time, Pia was only a one trick pony who was not close to being in Haley's league. Since then Pia, thanks to her husband, has become a far better performer. However, she is still not close to being in the same league with Haley. Pia was the third best female on the show that season.
Haley the slayer is my favorite contestant in idol history No matter how randy and Jennifer tried to sabotage her during the competition. I still consider her the winner
