Same thing that's going on with women in the combat arms units of the armed forces. Overlook some standards, make some new ones, create a few winning moments for the camera, broadcast those wins, shame others who don't play along, and pass on moral accountability for the unavoidable ramifications down the road. Which in this case will be some girl gets hurt bad or football as we know it is over.
@Plzwork4
@Plzwork4 11 месяцев назад
Agreed. The only exception is these are not even close to winning moments, but they shove it in your face and tell you to ignore what your eyes are obviously telling you...this was a subpar, slow, and helpless athlete making a weak attempt at a hit.

Unfortunately for the women in and going into combat arms (infantry, arty, armor) they’re finding out it’s a lot more than they bargained for. Services could care less. Political points and bigger recruiting pool for the future rent a generals.

I demand that women of color make up the US combat troops, from now on. Particularly, I want to see light skinned black women- those with puffy Afro hair that are all over advertisements- to be put on the frontlines.

Agreed, not sure what armed forces you’re with but the CAF is doing the same thing, our combat force test is mandatory requirement you need to pass to be deployable overseas…unless you’re a female or minority they have to fill a 10% of females 10% minorities to fill their quota for the public image. I’ve deployed along side with members that didn’t achieve the minimum requirements it’s sad that we have to lower our standards to include members who are unqualified and unfit for the position…but that choice is above my pay grade 🤷🏽‍♂️

that is 100% a "roughing the quarterback" penalty. She tackled him long after, not only had the pass been thrown, but the receiver already had the ball even and was himself being tackled. That's a 15 yard penalty easily. If a man had done that tackle, there's no way the ref would have let that slide, and possibly it would have been an ejection from the game too.

Second, who was protecting the quarterback? A bit strange that she had a clear shot with no blocks! Third, the tackle was pretty weak! Nothing aggressive, more like a hug! Fourth, keep this gal in for a significant period of time! Putting her in for a single play here & there is not worth prime time!

They have a five-man line blocking four linemen (/woman) rushing straight forward and she goes unblocked. There are only two explanations for this: 1. This was scripted by both sides to allow her to get to the QB 2. The offense didn't feel any need to block the girl Please, someone show me another football clip where five linemen allow one of four d-linemen go unblocked on a normal passing play when the defense is not blitzing or stunting or doing anything remotely tricky. It doesn't happen. I'm guessing it's option #2. The offense chose to double two of the d-linemen instead of blocking her. I expect they would script a sack if it were scripted.
@Destiny2_Clips

@@Destiny2_Clips , So, the end of the defensive line is not a threat in pass protection? In what universe is that the case? Certainly not this one. @Bgrosz1
@Bgrosz1 10 месяцев назад
@@Destiny2_Clips , Uh, yeah she would. She clearly isn't that fast, and she still hurried the pass. It would have only taken someone that is a little faster to have sacked the QB. If you have 5 blockers and four rushers, you don't double two people and leave one unblocked. You may do that if they send 5 (blitz) and overload one side. Had they sent five, then I could have seen her go unblocked. Defensive ends are usually very fast. Think about the time it takes for the receiver to run his route and the QB to get the snap, read if the receiver is going to be open and let the ball loose. Now think about the time it would take a fast DE to get to the QB unblocked. There isn't that much distance between them. You don't just leave the defensive end with a free shot at the QB. Even if the QB gets the ball off, they are going to take a big hit and aren't going to make it through the season if you allow one unblocked hit after another on your QB by design.

Yeah, I'm all for women's empowerment, but a few facts: * she's playing for division 3, not exactly playing DE at Alabama * she's 5'6" and 145 lbs. I'm trying to be nice here, but there's simply no way she could compete. Your average safety in the NFL (the position she plays) is bigger than 6'0", more than 200 lbs and can do the 4.5 40 yard dash. Yes, I know, she's playing division 3 ball. Look, it's simple, with every play she's out there, it's one play closer to her getting herself killed. She a girl and there's no sport I can think of where women simply can't compete with men. They did a publicity stunt play in a blow out game, how lovely. I just don't see the point of this, however. If a 6'5", 240 lb qb took off and started running and lowered his helmet into her, they'd have to drag her off the field. Again, I'm all for women's empowerment. What I'm not for is encouraging women to force themselves into arenas that they're not capable of being in. No one should say crap if she tries to tackle a running back and gets her neck broken.

You don’t have to keep saying you’re all for women empowerment, everyone knows this is a joke. There are just some people who like playing make believe. A real play and she’d end up in the hospital and her parents would be suing.

Women outperform men in a lot of endurance sports. Heather Anderson set the fastest known time on the PCT in 2013, and it wasn't broken by any man or woman until 2022. The same applies in ultra marathon and cycling events, where athletes never work at their maximal capacity. It's about physical and mental endurance, and that's something women excel at.
@Fisch2k4
@Fisch2k4 11 месяцев назад
No they don't. Top women are like 2nd rate men even there. Marathon WR for women is 10mins slower than mens. 10 mins is huge. Its insane. Elite male marathon runners average at 2:05. 5 mins faster than the female WR. Let that sink in. The average performance of an elite male marathon runner completely DESTROYS the absolutely best performance of any female marathon runner EVER. @@Andy-Mesa
@eclipsewrecker

@@Fisch2k4ace is talking about extreme endurance: days. Two things; estrogen doesn’t synthesize proteins, and the mentioned sports are too niche for a creditable sample size.
@Andy-Mesa
@Andy-Mesa 11 месяцев назад
@@Fisch2k4 I'm talking ultra marathons on the short end (50-100 miles) and thru hikes on the long end (2000+ miles). Women have a greater distribution of slow twitch muscle fibers. These muscle fibers are more resistant to fatigue and more suited to endurance. Men still have bigger muscles and greater maximal capacities like strength and aerobic power, which is why women generally can't compete with men over shorter distances like a marathon.

It must be football season and the left are at it again. Staging another sports SNL skit. Nobody blocked you on purpose and the QB just fell down. Shame on the coaches for allowing this. Then this nonsense will come to a abrupt end. 🤡

LMBO! People need to stop with this crap. If there are actually women who want to play football then they need to create a female league. Let's be honest....if someone from the opposing team would have disobeyed and not allowed her to hit the QB...but knocked her a few yards...then they'd be in trouble for it. She may be good at other sports, but not football. Not only that, with them applauding this are they going to applaud & call it a "step forward" when some swole dude comes to play female sports? Nah..

When I was 13 and played soccer I could kick an official college ball further than she did consistently. What a joke that was basically an onside kick. Even if both kickers were injured she was too and many players have kicked before or tried out to be kickers at some point and any player not already on the field could have kicked it far better than that. Doing the media rounds too and was filmed in advance and obviously a stunt.

The dopes interviewing her are an embarrassment. Nothing against Haley but it’s only a tackle when you bring down the ball carrier. It’s not a tackle when after the quarterback releases the ball, she still takes two steps before a late hit against the quarterback. That’s a 15 yard penalty for roughing the passer. The pansy refs are in on it and don’t throw the flag. Actually, that “hit”, more like a hug, was like my five year old son tackling me.
