I've been in ROTC for 2 months and I joined drill and I was told that I was abnormally good at it I leaned a quad on my 4th practice and I just started looking at your videos and you make awesome how to's I learned this and the shoulder front to back and dang I'm going to learn so much from you and my instructors thanks for the video it really helped
Sounds like you need to hammer the side a bit or unscrew the bolt's screw a little so it sticks out further. The receiver is bound to get a little bent up, just do maintenance every once in a while.
The impact of the hits may have bent the little part that holds the bolt in place. Check to see if this is the case, and if it is, use a screwdriver or something as leverage and push it back out
Are there any groups in Minnesota who get together and drill for the heck of it. I miss the fellowship and unity? Nothing like the sounds of commands, boots, and rifles.
I'm not sure exactly what it is you're describing that's happening, but if the problem is with the bolt not sliding back in, my best guess is bent metal on the slide.
