Thank you for proclaiming this brand. Took me a year to get one I have had it in use for about 2 yrs and I do love it. I won't say it's better than my bk River bravo but it is a functional and enjoyable blade.
Thank you for your honest review. I have been drooling over HFB knives but at the end of the day function is #1. As a collectible I'd still like to obtain a custom one.
I’ll agree with about having a kydex sheath that is felt lined. I think they suck. I’ve have the felt lining come unglued from the kydex. However a good quality leather sheath can offer just as much retention as a good kydex sheath. If a leather sheath doesn’t have good retention then most of the time a person can wet form them to the knife.
@@AlaskanFrontier1 Do you think, by using modern steels like CPM Magnacut etc. those blades can compensate being thinner then traditional, thicker blades?
I’ve owned winklers, hfb, and bark river for years. I think aside from materials, simpler is almost always better. Bark river shines this way. And the felt/suede lined sheaths have caused me more problems than regular kydex. I honestly prefer leather. I’m still pulling hog hair out of my winkler sheath lol
