@@rugbyboy9964 I think the reason the guy said that is an outdated genetic theory that "mixed" folks are superior and only interior good traits from both groups. In reality, people are people.
Relatable. I’m half-black-American and half-Filipino. I’m not black enough for my black peers and I’m not Filipino enough for my Filipino peers. Even though my Tagalog isn’t fluent, I still speak more of it than many Filipino-Americans at my age…and that’s still not enough. The thing I learned is, as a multiracial person, we often learn not to base relationships on race but on character. Be a good person and good people of all races will be attracted to you.

That must be super annoying to always be considered a foreigner in East Asian countries even when you speak the language perfectly and adapt to their culture
Mate if you were born in Japan and you're half japanese, never went outside Japan and lived there for 50 years. Still Japan will see you as a foreigher and give you the cold shoulder. So it is either look and be 100% japanese, not 50/50, not even 80/20. What a culture, huh huh
Depends on the person. I once saw an interview on a channel with a pure nigerian woman who was born and raised in Ibaraki, Japan, and she said that she grew up being fully accepted and treated as Japanese by the Japanese people around her. She said that when she went to the US for the first time, she experienced racism for the first time and was told by Americans that "you are not American" even though she speak English fluently. Every time I often hear half-Japanese and foreigners living in Japan say, "I am never treated as Japanese," I think they are lacking something.
@@asdfghjjhgf Is that the one whose parents were missionaries? She was actually told by her American peers that she’s not Japanese. Because she kept telling everyone she’s from Japan, but she looks African, so they didn’t believe her (and she speaks English without an accent, because her American parents taught her since she was a child).
It's the same in most countries, not just East Asia. I'm Asian, and I've lived in the Netherlands and Ireland for a while, and I was never treated like a local. I was even made insulting gestures towards Asians by strangers just by walking around. the US and Australia were founded by immigrants, so things are different from most other countries.
I’m so happy that there other people like me out there that grew up like I did. I’m half Japanese half English born and raised in Australia and I resonate with everything she says about growing up and life back in Japan/ in Australia. It’s cool to know I’m not alone

As someone who is of mixed race I TOTALLY get what she means by not being enough of either race. You truly don’t know where you belong, and all you want to do is be accepted. Now that I’m older, I’m so over the race thing. Ppl just need to put you into their own box to feel comfortable with you.
You know that life isn’t about pleasing other people cosmetic bias and fantasies. It’s about standing tall and forging your own identity and destiny. You can appreciate both half’s of your identity and take the best of both with feeling like you don’t belong.
I commented on another video, but this is such a common sentiment for biracial folk. You’re not too much of one to be accepted, or not enough of it. I’m biracial, my best friend is biracial, we talk about how it affected our identity growing up (so thankful I had a biracial best friend to understand this), and every biracial person I’ve met has said a similar thing. Both too much yet not enough, and we’ve all had to work through our identity and love for ourselves and these cultures that make us up, but also rejected us. I’m an adult now, doesn’t bother me, but gosh, my heart goes out to anyone struggling through this or bi/multiracial children who have to experience this identity crisis.

@@NativeAsElizabethWarren she obviously can - don’t you hear her accent? She probably doesn’t speak it fluently or “perfectly,” which causes some insecurities.
My children are half Korean/Italian. Of course I think they're the most beautiful cuz they're mine. Lol. But there's just something about mixed people that are truly unique and stunning. She definitely is gorgeous, plus seems very sweet. 😊

@user-cg3sl8zu5c Beauty is absolutely subjective, and you have all the rights to disagree with the comment above, but I'd strongly recommend not spreading negativity on the internet !!
Similar to Mexican-American. We will always be looked at as Mexican in the USA. And in Mexico they will always look at us as Americans. We’re never good enough for one side or the other.
@@candysmith8724 Doesn't have to be white. Nature just likes mixed races. The biological process is called "Hybrid Vigor" Look at dogs. Purebreds usually have health complications and are harder to train. Mutts have few health problems and are more intelligent. Why do you think people from melting pot countries like the U.S and Canada are more attractive than say, people from the U.K? Because people in the U.K have been sleeping with their cousins for thousands of years, while the melting pot countries have a lower chance of sleeping with closer cousin.

Japanese culture love their own pure japanese countrymen. There are foreign actresses in Japan but they are sometimes cast in a comedic role where they are ridiculed for laughter. Even if she is beautiful, she would need to take a hard pill to swallow if she wants to be an actress in Japan.
Sorry but Japanese people are not really known to be sincere....the society tend to not be direct with their feelings because they are afraid to been seen different.....❤
Yeah, notice everyone he interviews is very good looking, they are all half Japanese and all very good looking, not one would ever be accepted in Japan.
…I like her. Girls that are half Mongolian and half Caucasian are often beautiful. I can’t imagine her being treated with any sort of racism in the area where I live.
I would go as far to say that this is the most naturally beautiful woman you've interviewed on the channel. I respect that she's more than just her looks, but it's impossible to ignore beauty when it's presented to you.
I always feel my heart shrink when I hear this, for mixed people who are the literal result of bridges built with love despite the differences, to be rejected by both cultures they’re supposed to belong to. I want you to know you and your parents are beacons of hope to people like me, that never really belonged or felt welcome in my country, my society or my family.
I'm half white American and half asian and I have never felt any racism by white Americans. The only racism I experienced was by blacks because I was "white enough"
I'm half Japanese and half white American. I was born in Japan but live in Texas, and I have never felt too white or too Asian for anybody here. People care about whether you're a good person here, not the way you look or your accent.
Good afternoon/ night. I think there's only one race which is the human race. I think this discuss - races, racism... - that was devised to be acceptable, is wrong, because we are all equals. Just what makes people different is a color, but all they have the same bones quantity, red blood, nose, eyes... I think, it - races' discussion - a way of separation, segregation ... a premeditated act to separate people, and in some cases to belittle other people as well...
@@anagonyaowusu3119I guarantee you’re okay with people saying whites though especially because it was used in the same comment that made you post. Go away.
Maybe... I found that as I got older that I had my Japanese side to thank for staying slim whilst cramming all the junk food that i could fit down my mouth. The downside is that I took my American dad's temper, but I know this and really do my best to stay calm in situations. But for most part, I'm upbeat and a little nutty. 😂
Well she didn’t say they were being mean to her. She just said they don’t consider her a part of their culture which she’s technically not. Even if she was 100% Japanese being raised in another country with another culture would make it difficult for her to hide the fact she was a foreigner especially when she herself said she doesn’t speak Japanese well.
