+Itz Zaya All videos are fixed up after the event. Reasons include: 1) Fixing technical issues if possible, such as the echoing audio on the uploads for several runs early in the event. 2) Uploading a higher resolution version of the video if the game feed was separately recorded. Many HD games had a higher resolution capture than what went out on the stream, so in some cases it's possible to upload a version where the game feed portion of the stream is full 1080p. 3) Normalizing the audio track. Most runs will end up being louder. 4) Removing the takeover ads played during setup times. 5) Adding title cards, including run, category, runners, and an approximate time when the run starts. 6) Putting interviews with the run they belong with, as sometimes there was a schedule gap (the Super Mario Kart interview was done before Diddy Kong Racing, for example).

late reply but combat movement in Painkiller is entirely based upon bunnyhopping, as your walk speed is molasses to the point where you can't even avoid most enemies.

Timic83tc There are 3 human speedrun types: single-segment, segmented and real time attack. Noir was doing an RTA. In RTA the clock ticks even in pause menus but you are allowed to use save/load

Nope. No cheats. Valve put a restriction to prevent bunny hopping in the game, but they didn't think about going backwards. So if you jump, turnaround, and start jumping backwards, you go really really fast. Very similar thing in Super Mario 64 runs.

That as called Accelerated Side Hopping, it works similar to what zeebbree mentioned, but instead of going backwards while jumping you hold AS/DS while jumping (I don't know why this one works though)
