I don't understand. Do you people actually prefer when the runner just stares at the screen with a blank expression? Are you here to watch a game being played? If you're actually interested in speedrunning this is a fantastic run. He gives the perfect amount of info for people who might be interested in learning to run Halo 4. Doesn't that sound like what he's supposed to do? I can understand not liking his voice or personality, but if you have a problem with his info then you're in the wrong place. That's all detail that's relevant to runners. This video is about speedrunning. Speedrunning involves memorizong thousands of little things in a game. He's teaching you how to do it, while doing it, be impressed ffs.
The title isn't just "Halo 4 Speedrun" though. It's a run at AGDQ. If you want to see a non-commentated speedrun you shouldn't watch an AGDQ run you moron.
+Ab Xy They die instantly in water because spartan suits weigh roughly 1000kg and the pressure of the water would kill you instantly. And yes im not fun at parties
A Spartan II in full Mjolnir armor weights in at around 500 kgs, and the water pressure in a river obviously isn't strong at all, and the suit can take a lot of pressure as it is. There is no obvious canonical reason, the short and boring answer is they simply put killboxes in most of the water (Halo 3 for example has water you can walk around in, totally submerged, infinitely without dying). I totally bet you're not fun at parties, but if you're gonna pretend to be a know-it-all maybe you should, you know, "know it all" before you talk.
@@hylianchriss There's an area in forge world (Halo Reach) where you can survive fully submerged in water as well, even if it did seem like an unintended mistake.
I really like what he says, by every comment he says it shows that he loves the halo franchise, i like the fact that he gives tips for playing the game and explains why and how something happens, i know sometimes sound a bit annoying but, i can clearly see his love for what is he doing and his good intention.
I'm a new gen, meaning I started playing all the halo games around the same time on the MCC, so obviously i don't have the nostalgia clouding and pre existent expectations of halo fans when halo 4 came out which was partly why it had the reaction it had, but i like halo 4, for the purposes i use it that is
The only thing i disagree with is the "Halo 4 is the best halo game" But great commentary, full of info. Takes so much skill to play and explain at the same time.
I love theses speed runs- but being a child of the SEGA master system (yeah, it existed) I can’t go fast- I need to stop and enjoy the graphics and music, the sound effects and story. Love the Halo series for all these things
Damn the comments hate. Guys if you want to play a difficult game and try talking over it go ahead, its pretty hard to do well. Ideally the couch could have stepped in, but whatever the runner did well enough and he got to show off the run
played this game when I was 10 ish and the furthest I got was around 15 minutes into the speedrun, and I thought I got far in the game and did well lmao
Honestly Halo 4 should have been the end of the series. Nothing can really beat having all of the prior storylines converge like this. Also, look what they did to my boy Master Chief. The loss of Cortana is the loss of a major part of the Halo franchise, and the desecration of Master Chief in Halo 5 is the deathblow for me. Halo 3 will always be the best game in the series for me because of when in my life I played it, but honestly all of the first four games were damn good.
My theory on why you can just go into the last tower on Shutdown without completing the other two towers is because each one is loaded independently. Meaning they are not connected checkpoint wise, they all will simply load if you try to enter them. As for the gaps in both the tower and the door? That could be on accident; the gap in the tower was likely never expected to be seen from a distance, you would have to actively go and inspect the tower beforehand to see it. 343i likely did not anticipate people actually trying considering most levels required you to complete certain areas before you could access others. A simple oversight. The gap in the door could be the same story or there could have been panels covering those gaps that just never loaded. 343i has likely not fixed this simply to give players that extra insurance policy when trying to complete the game in under 3 hours on MCC as some levels are hard to shave off time for some players.
No way bro. Halo 1's hardest is Truth and Reconciliation which is 3 levels in Halo 2 has Regret/Gravemind which is more than halfway through Halo 3 has Cortana which is the second to last level
343 nailed the campaign in halo 4, I mean they really did stay faithful to the original games except adding new weapons and enemies. Yet in halo 5, they totally fucked up the campaign. How could they get it so right and then get it so wrong just like that?
Man, enemy design in this game sucks, but the graphics, animations, weapon design, and ESPECIALLY sound design were incredible for the time and hold up very well today.
what this guy is doing is nothing but positive what kind of shit heads are actually criticizing this person? oh the speed run isn't perfect or he's not cool enough and fun to listen to or whatever is impressing picky nerds on the internet the point of this thing? did you pay for anything? maybe your jealous people aren't paying attention to you participating in your hobby like this? anyone that would open their mouth negatively is just projecting their own insecurities/jealous? yeah? the only thing cringy is people that like to shit on others for literally no reason other than spite i can't believe the kind of drama people are interested in.
