There's an ambience to it. It sounds like it's playing in the halls of the building. Brilliant. I think now the game is starting to feel special to me.
Still wondering why the developers of Black Mesa didn't use this in the test chamber after the resonance cascade :/ It doesn't feel the same without it
Hearing this in the Crossfire multiplayer map gives me mixed feelings of fear and anger. fear of an incoming map-wipe nuke and anger due to that one fucker who initiated the launch while everyone else is fighting in the center
Yeah funny story Basically one time I was playing the HL2 campaign in Gmod with a friend, we both used a mod to make us HL1 Gordon Freeman, and once we got past that section of water hazard and through the tunnel, it started playing diabolical adrenaline guitar instead of what's normally meant to play there lmao
I don't know why but this has always reminded me of the scene from Alien where Ripley has the flamethrower and is wandering throughout the dark hallways of the nostromo with the lights flickering on and off and trying to not be found by the xenomorph XD
Yes i know this it is in a map called crossfire at lan or servers when you activate the bomb the start to close and this sound start playing #OldMemories
"Attention! Leave this Area to get to the Safe Zone!" Scientist 1: Hey, where's Freeman? Scientist 2: Nah!, he'll be fine. "Meanwhile in Black Mesa Research Facility" Barney Calhoun: Hey, catch me later i'll buy you a beer. 20 years later Barney Calhoun: about that beer i owe ya!

This is more soothing alarm like the sound is trying to tell us that don't panic and stay calm. Not like the others in real life will make you panicked.
