It's cool that the game is almost designed for speed running. You unlock upgrades throughout the run just like a normal playthrough. Grenade boosts, gauss gun, infinite health, etc

This is so impressive. Half life in half an hour was the video that got me into speedrunning. To think that nowadays someone can do a sub-30min run in a marathon setting.. just wow.

As much as I love GDQ, I can't understand why there are no instant replays (after the run highlights). That would really help the rest of us plebs to truly understand what's going on when it can't be explained by the couch group in real time.
