It was lame and corny. It just showed how hip hop just became pop. Eminem was lame with his kneeling. I still don't get why Colin K is this figure that all the woke's try to prop up as some martyr. He's just someone that divides people for a paycheck.
@@Kickinthescience I'm talking about all of the theatrics and all the lame background filler. And yes, we live in a world where snoop has gone pop. Not every song, of course. Also, I don't care what feminist agree with. It's hard to put any real weight in to their thoughts and beliefs when they don't even stand up for what they were meant to stand up for.
I was born and raised in California, I lived there until i was in my 20's. I am almost 39 years old now and live in Virginia now but this whole half time show just transported me back in time to Cali. Such a great show, so nostalgic. I loved it!! ❤🔥❤🔥❤
@@eclipsegaming8260 Met my still current bf online, and this is where he lives. I moved out here 5 years ago this August actually. Thankfully our relationship is still going strong...I love it out here.
To those having issues with Eminem's kneeling... Oh Good Gawd get over yourself, his kneeling had zero to do with Colin Kaepernick and everything to do with Tupac. There use to be a time in history when folks would kneel and bow their head to show respect for someone who had past away. Some even say a prayer usually silently. With the fact that Dr. Dre went straight into a piano riff of Tupac's song. Speaks volume. Besides the NFL knew full well what was gonna take place. 2022 Super Bowl LVI, Half-Time show was by far one of the best in years. 👏👏👏
I’ll be honest i teared up when I saw this, grew up in Inglewood, but moved to Hawaii 5 years ago. I’m a metal head, but always loved the Dr. And everyone else, this was an amazing show for me. Love that they showed PAC respect. This was just on another level.
@Fatsuperfly I hear ya on that one! I listen to all genres of music but metal is definitely up there for me. One of my best concerts was a triple header... Metallica, Faith No More and Guns n' Roses at The Meadowlands decades ago! NOW there's this performance which I can say is one of my favorite ones from the Super Bowl. It's right up there with the performance of when Prince played Purple Rain and it actually began to rain! 😉💜😎🤘#ProudTaino #ProudMohawk #BearClan #NewYorkGenXBikerLady
Metalhead here too, but these guys (except for Kendrick) and Mary J. Blige we're a big part of my late 20's-early 30's clubbing days. Alot of nostalgia there!
I'm 64 years old and It was not only the best halftime show I've ever seen, but one of the best shows ive seen period. It was just really fun and kept me smiling the whole time. I really loved your heartfelt appreciation and respect for all these guys, it was awesome. I am a faithful fan of your channel, I think you do a excellent job. ❤
Great reaction Van - your enthusiasm and positive energy always shines through!!! Even though I’ve watched this performance loads of times over the last 2 days, I had such a big smile on my face watching along with you! Music is so important in our family, it gets us through happy times, sad times, weddings, funerals and everything in between - and we all loved every second of this performance, from my 75 year old mum, to me and my husband in our 40’s, to our 18 and 14 year old teenagers - it was EPIC!!! Sending you and your fam love from a cold snowy Scotland! 🏴
Thanks for sharing this ... I've been hearing a lot of talk, but first time seeing it. Anybody who said the show sucked, was only speaking of their own musical taste. They put on a helluva show.
@@Allison_Chaynes I think of these spectacles in the context. Halftime shows will always tend to leans towards a safe "pop" presentation for the masses. It's going to be a "sample tray of an appetizer" without a real entrée of music. But those appitizers were good.
I’m a white country gurl fm TN .. best performance ever !! I grew up to these artists!! Dre deserved this !! And I loved it and I say this cause good music does bring us all together!! For sure !! ❤️❤️
That was AMAZING! I’m not much a hip hop, but who doesn’t know Mary J, Snoop, Dr Dre, Eminem? That was best show I’ve seen in a LONG while. Thanks for sharing!
He played M.A.A.D City off of GKMC, an album that has the most weeks on billboard top 200 in hip hop history (even more than EMs longest) and alright from TPAB which is literally a BLM anthem and it's from TPAB which will live on for decades to come just for it's pure excellence of execution alone so idk what your on about here.
My wife LOVE Eminem, Kendrick, Snoop and 50 Cent! And she adore Mary J too. This was perfect for her. Hope y’all enjoyed the Game and this Reaction. ✌🏾
This was the first reaction of yours that I had serious disagreement with. Many of us don't get the whole Hip hop/rap culture. See my first comment for more detail.
As a Latina, I loved J Lo, Shakira and Bad Bunny…….BUT I CHANGE MY MIND 🤷🏻♀️ BEST HALF TIME SHOW EVER! Took me back and made me proud….maybe a lil emotional 🥲 each song made my chest explode with euphoria!!!! Hands down the best half time show to date. Nothing beats going back in time and reliving the past no matter how many lights, back up dancers, explosions and all that extravagant stuff….not needed.
1. They told Snoop no Crip flag. He rocked the entire Crip outfit. 2. They told Dre he could not say "still not loving police". He said it anyway. 3. They told Em not to kneel. He did it anyway. How they going to invite gangsta rap and then expect them to not break the rules LOL it was FIRE!
I really don't think people understand or appreciate the history and the pain and the forgiveness and the 👏ded👏i👏ca👏tion👏 Seeing them all standing together and just vibing... I was hoping 2pac would make an appearance but I know he was standing there with them prouder than ever ❤
Thanks for posting this. I'm in the UK so we heard about it but hadn't seen it til now. It was a great show and brought back so many good memories. If only Tupac, Warren G and Nate Dogg and Biggie could've been there ❤
@@DebbieH5731 I was on here looking for it on YT but someone set up a fake livestream that had 30k ppl waiting for the show! I only realised it was fake because someone was filming their TV live on FB. I got desperate 'cause it was live so I knew I was missing it- googled it only to realise it was BBC One after all😂
Very awesome, by far the best halftime show I’ve seen in a long time!!! The NFL (even though they are denying it) did in fact tell Eminem not to take a knee and also told Snoop Dogg not to wear any Crip colors. They really thought these guys were going to listen lmao!!! These people built their fame and success on defying authority, that was their whole premise back in the day, to go against oppression and use their music as a platform to do so!!! The only thing that I could see that is missing is 2Pac, would have been absolutely crazy to see a hologram of him during his parts, loved seeing Dre doing his DJ thing, no doubt epic!!! I grew up listening to them and they made me fall in love with rap!!! Thank you for the reaction and for posting this!!! 👊👊 much love and respect my brother and RIP 2Pac!!!
We didn't watch the superbowl, not even for the commercials this year. We kept in small in the corner of the screen until Halftime then turned the game off. BEST DAMN HALFTIME SHOW OF ALL-TIME As for Eminem taking a knee. I kneeled with Colin, I'm still kneeling with Colin, & I'm right there with Eminem. And as the Green Barrett who urged Colin to do so in the 1st place "Throughout history Kneeling has NEVER been viewed as a sign of disrespect" The very fact that they're pissed at Eminem when the Anthem wasn't even playing proves for a fact that it has never been about the National Anthem for them in the 1st place. As for all this Gen X claiming it vs Millenials claiming it as their show BS just stop all this mess. We're Gen X & our kids had just as much fun jamming out to this Halftime show as we did. NEVER have we watched a Superbowl where the Halftime Show had everyone in the house up dancing & singing along. Dre put a show for EVERYBODY. In a country divided he gave us something to remind us that music brings us all together. Period. It doesn't matter which generation you think it was intended for. If the previous generations weren't bomb as hell the next generation wouldn't sample off their music & we wouldn't be able to introduce our kids to a song from our generation or our parents generation that they would have never wanted to listen to otherwise. Music is a universal language, stop all this Hateration & just dance with me. In the words of the late Rodney King, "Can we all just get along. Can we just stop making it for the older people & the kids"
Legendary Halftime Show! 1 of the best if not the best (best imo but Michael Jacksons show legendary too but im too young to remember that) Eminem, Snoop and 50cent were amazing, Kendrick and Mary were great! The powerhouse on that stage at the end!
I'm the same age as Mary J and I was pretty upset that people went at her for how she was dressed! Come on she's gorgeous and, I'm Gen-X I was out in the "clubs" dancing like crazy ❤ took me back to being in my 20's!!! My 18 year old son already knew these songs and artists and hey!!! He loved it!!!
Super Bowl LVI was explosive!’ Straight Fire 🔥🔥🔥🎤🎶🎶🎼🎼🎼🎼 Dr Dre Snoop 50 Cent MJB Kendrick Lamar Eminem Anderson Paak on drums!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Luv ya reactions!!!
Man, that was the best half time show that i can remember! Especially if you're around the age I am! This was my teens and 20's all rolled into one show! Also I had no idea 50 was gonna be there too! Fuckin amaxing in my opinion!
The Master Dr Dre and his protégés... Awesome show and nice mix of generations tho some other big players I would have loved to have seen up there too! ❤️ and 🎶 definitely for the 🌍✌️... Prince's HT show still tops it for me tho 💜
Off The Chain,, Me and my wife is 51 and we was up dancing brought back all the memory she grew up and Compton and I grew up in South Central, the best Halftime Show I've ever seen When Mary J. Blige was singing straight brought chill bumps!!! Please I want tickets to that Concert...
It wasn’t during our “sacred” National Anthem so I don’t know why anyone would have a problem with Em kneeling. He was kneeling in honor of Tupac. People need to get over themselves.
They say that but I'm not sure, veacuse they said they knew he was gonna do it. Not that yhey were OK with it. They said they saw it during the rehearsals meaning they didn't know he would up until that point
I agree. What's the big deal anyway... The National Anthem wasn't playing. Em didn't invent the move either. James Brown and Elvis used to do it all the time and nobody said anything.
@@Allison_Chaynes Because you know, I'm sure, why they were kneeling. And why Em did. Hey, you didn't like it and you are quite clear about it. I respect that, just like you should respect the fact some others loved it.
@@julielarochelle I respect your right to love it. I don't respect anyone that loves it. I know everyone is throwing around that it was only to honor Tupac. Anyone who truly believes that should meet me in Brooklyn tomorrow. I have a bridge I want to sell you. Real cheap.
Van! You've had such a mix lately! Love it. I was just thinking it was too bad nobody reacted to this and boom it's there. Appreciated 😉 I had missed the dogg picture. Thanks for pointing it out!
Eminem grew up in 8 mile, Detroit. May have given him a unique perspective on his neighborhood's struggles so, if the guy wants to kneel, looks like he has every reason and motivation to do so.
I had no idea what to expect because there's been a lot going on so I haven't heard anything until I seen this video and OMG 😭🥰😭🥰🤗😘❤️ Truly ICONIC!! I knew all the songs from back in my day too. Don't worry Van I cried for both of us. Lol 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
I read a post about Eminem kneeling down before Dre went on the Piano, the NFL told Eminem not to kneel, but he kneeled anyway to pay homage to Tupac, they also told Snoop Dogg not to Crip Walk and not to have a Blue Bandana in his back pocket, he Crip Walked anyway and instead of having a Blue Bandana in his back pocket he wore a whole Blue Bandana Outfit, they also told Dr. Dre to take out the "negative references" to police out of his lyrics, but he left it in anyway. At least that's what I read.
This is how you know your aging, when the halftime show is music from your youth. When you start hearing it in the grocery stores, then you know you're old.
If Eminem was kneeling to support protest against police violence against Black people, then I support it. If he was kneeling to support Tupac or Dre's legendary status, I support it. If he was just wanting to signal his own protest, I support his right to do it. More people need to stir stuff up or it all gets stale and accepted. You make a good case to me that police don't MORE READILY assume Black people post a threat, and I will listen. Make your case. But if the reason is that crime is more in urban areas where more Black people live, then you need to also tell me why the crime and concentration of poverty seems to result in congregations of disproportionate numbers of Black people there. Could it be some kind of crap in the system? Tell me why I am wrong, because it sure seems like I am right
There should be no questions about Em's kneel. We live in a world we're this is not reality. The LA CROWD Loved IT!!! SO DID I THEN this sick!!! Reppen 213... 408 and 650 is me!!!!
"Holleration" maybe is like don't be a poser just enjoy her music and "just dance for me". Enjoy it. Which is what we do!! I might be tiny with a flat booty but she makes it shake!! Lol
I enjoyed every minute of the sb halftime show, and knew every word to every song, telling my age here lol..Dre said in an interview that the NFL did NOT tell Em not kneel, in fact, it was never even brought up. But as we know, even if they had, he is gonna do what he wants to do...I loved the tribute to Tupac, just wish it had been a little longer, I actually loved every minute of it, a trip down memory lane :)
I have enjoyed you for a couple years now, I realized after this we were born in the same era, I felt every word. We are and always be the best generation. Snoop and I are back en two days apart and I have ALWAYS FEKT a somatic I with Snoop even as a WWVA girl. My eyes are failing as I type this but my moves are not, Gen X till we take the rear of them out, because Lord knows only the strongest of us arrived.
The knee had a double entendre has naturally Em would do. It’s an homage to 2PAC…and it’s also national black history month. That’s Em. He’ll do what he wants and doesn’t give af.
Same dude. Every word! Yes Mary J is my Queen outside of Lauren Hill who I got to see at Fkoydfwst in VA a couple years ago and she was amazing.. no more Dean is an anthem
I don’t care at all about football anymore. It’s not the politics I just don’t find the game interesting anymore. With that said this halftime show was dope! Really happy ro see Dre, snoop, 50, and M all performing together. Brings back fond memories!
It was great. They told Snoop not to represent his affiliations, so he disguised it as Ram colors but he still C walked. 🤘🏼 And they told Em not to take a knee, he did anyway. I love Generation X, ours was the last real generation. 🤘🏼🤘🏼❤️🔥🔥🔥
