@@kyleramos1255 prince performing with the weatherx with the all the risks he had to take, the fucking dancers with slippery fucking stage cuz of the rain and their shoes were slipping, the chance of the fucking guitar killing prince, him saying fuck it and performing how good he did makes it by far the best half time show so far, and probably of all time
real talk. most people don't realize Jay-Z is somewhat in charge of the halftime show. They wanted Dre bad for the LA Superbowl. Paired with Dre they wanted Eminem. For some reason they didn't want 50, and Eminem said he would not do it if 50 wasn't also featured. From the bottom to the top, thick and thin, that's true friendship
Facts maryj Blige was awesome too but I hated kendricks part was like nah to new for all of them of that makes sense should of got 2pa. Or biggie in if they could generate ai performance
I got emotional when the pac tribute came up. Especially considering they wasn’t on the best terms when pac died ;it’s dope he still shouted him out in a way
Thank god people understand why he did it I was tired of hearing he did it for this he did it for that dr said not to do it but Eminem was like fuck it
Yes! It really should have won something. Everything was flawlessly conceived and executed, from the stage set, the choreo, the song selections, the transitions, the live band mix over D.A.T. in 5.1 surround. Clean mix with new instrumental arrangements that were tailored specifically for this performance. And ofcourse the stars are shined and showed why they are GOATS.
Another amazing half time show was when Prince performed. It was pouring rain outside, was like a dream. The nfl even made a mini behind the scenes of setting it up and dealing with the weather and how amazing the show went. Prince got everyone pregnant that night.
The behind-the-scenes is amazing.... NFL guy: "Prince I want you to know it's raining" Prince: "yes it's raining" NFL guy: "are you ok?" Prince: "can you make it rain harder?" Iconic!
That is my favourite one of all time. Prince KILLED it! And the best part is him going "can we make it rain harder?" when the crew told him that it unfortunately started to rain.
We have no universal healthcare. We have no free tuition. We have no maternity leave. The poor pays high taxes while the rich pays less. "Amazing"? What the hell are you talking about?
I’m a white, 65 year old Southern grandmother and I wouldn’t have missed that for the world! The NFL finally got it right. I can’t fathom how anyone missed it. 😂 Now *that* was a halftime show! I’ll take amazing artists singing live over one artist poorly lip syncing any day.
1. Shoutout to Anderson Paak on the drums 2. Mary J's performance was hella slept on because every was waiting for Em 3. This is the goat superbowl show
Performance wise arguably top 5. But in terms of everything leading up to it, the history between hip-hop and the Super Bowl, the line up, the controveries, 50 hanging upside down like in the music video, Snoop crip walking on national television and wearing the colors, Em taking a knee... It's the greatest halftime show imo.
Mexican dude here, I love my metal, but I grew up with dr dre and snoop and everyone. Those are the guys i started listening to first and knew it was music! I cried seeing this, from L.A. loved this every moment. It may hit different, but I loved this half time show. New ones can’t compare.😂
Hey I graduated in 1997 so this is the music that shaped the lives of us Gen X/Millenial cusp kids! The music that brings that nostalgia of the good ole days is the soundtrack to your life! Probably why each generation has its own fave halftime show!
High school class of 2000 here! They call us Xennials. ✨ Obviously I’m biased, but I think we got to experience the best culture of both generations! 😁
TBH I’m not a rap fan but I have returned to this video dozens of times and will continue to do so. Not only was This was an ICONIC performance by GOATS in the industry but it was multilayered with the history and story it told. The production and set were beyond amazing. The dancing, music and transitions between the artists and songs were incredible. There won’t be another halftime show like this-unless the east coast rap artists can come up with something. And lastly it’s not fair to compare a single artist performance to FIVE GOATS. Rihanna had a fantastic show as well, but comparing hers to this one is like comparing apples and oranges. Much respect always to Dr Dre and Snoop.
Prince's half time show is considered by many to be the absolute best. It was pouring down rain & the producers asked him if he was ok, he said "Can you make it rain more?"..something like that. He played Purple Rain in the pouring rain, among other songs. #1 half time show. Even so, this one blew me away, it's incredible.
Best SB: Michael Jackson's halftime was the most watched at the time and was a mini concert with a message. Prince owned the stage during his, and Bruno teaming up with Beyoncé was a great moment as well.
U2 in 2001 was great too. Was first superbowl after September 11th. Very emotional halftime show. Loved this one too. Brought me back to my teenage years. Dre and the boys put a hell of a show on
This halftime show was definitely fire, cause it highlighted all the golden years of hip hop in the 90s and the vibe was so good, but I agree with the take of many other people in the comments, Prince's halftime show can't be outdone. His performance of Purple Rain in pouring rain was iconic. And he had all the swag as usual with his outfit, his skills on the guitar and obviously his vocal skills. His backup dancers were next level too.
This one was epic. Michael Jackson’s performance is still my all time fav. Especially at the end with the heal the world tribute. Super healing & beautiful vibes. 🌍❤️💕
I could literally watch you guys for hours!!... especially the ones with Eminem. His music had a huge impact on me as I was your age when he first appeared & I'm just loving seeing you guys. You stop it when you have something to say, you research the song & look up the lyrics if you don't catch them... freakin love that about you guys! I will admit, it did seem strange to me that you'd never heard any of his songs as my kids absolutely know who Eminem is & know all his songs just as much as I do but then I realized... that's why MY kids know who he is cos they heard his music (amongst others) while they were growing up! I'm currently doing a deep dive into your videos & shall be doing a 'marathon watch' cos in New Zealand today, it's the kind of day that makes you want to just stay in ya pj's & watch ya favourite RU-vid creators. Freakin love ya work guys, keep it coming!! Much love & prayers to you all & your entire family 💚🙏💜
This is without a doubt my 2nd favorite halftime show, but no one has been able to outdo Prince’s, imo. There’s just something about seeing him sing “Purple Rain” in the driving rain. Perfection.
The only thing I did not like about Prince's performance was that he performed too many songs from other artists. Other than that, definitely top-5 along with this one.
Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J.Blige, 50 Cent, and Kendrick Lamar Hip-Hop legends and Queen of Hip-Hop Soul 👸performing on the same stage at last year's Superbowl halftime show 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
eminem hit it bigtime when i was in college. i'll never forget when 'slim shady' came on, my roommate said 'well, that's a one-hit wonder if i've ever seen one' lol
It was so much fun seeing a hip hop concert at the half time, especially when there was talk like it wouldn't be good. They blew it up as one of thee best half time shows ever
THANKS FOR SHARING YALLS REACTION! THIS WAS BY FAR THE BEST HALF TIME SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN! I WAS BORN IN THE 80’S & GREW UP IN THE 90’S/EARLY 2000’S LISTENING TO DRE,SNOOP DOG,EM,50 CENT,MARY J BLIDGE,TLC,LUDACRIS,FLORIDA,OUTKAST,USHER,R.KELLY,JA RULE,MASTER P,2PAC,NELLY,CYPRESS HILL,ECT……. JUST TO NAME A FEW. I LOVE MOST MUSIC! ONLY 2 GENRES I HAVE TRIED TO LIKE BUT COULD’NT & STILL DON’T ARE HEAVY METAL& OPRA.
Can I know why u hate heavy metal cause I love heavy metal. And I want just want to understand why some people don’t like it. And I love all music, well at least good music and underrated stuff.
This halftime show was by far the best I've ever seen in my life. Seeing Dre and Snoop Dogg start if off with a Dre song and then a 2Pac song was crazy. Then watching 50 hang from the ceiling was cool. Mary J's preformance was cool and Kendricks was weird but awesome. And then to top it all of, Em comes out and preformes Lose Yourself. No auto tune. No weird ass dancers. No cringy preformances. Just baller music.
Prince’s halftime show is iconic. Singing Purple Rain in the rain. And no electrocutions and those chicks Olin their 10 inch heels didn’t slip and fall! But most his guitar solo
This (2022) is one of my favorite half time shows ever! I like you guys and your topics. I like that your comment on good honest things. One CF guy is absent today.
I really enjoyed that I've only seen small clips from news reports over here in the UK. Your channel is a lot different from other RU-vidrs. You all talk to each other and have a laugh with so much banter between you all... Also I like the way you actually research the answers instead of asking the audience which I actually enjoy.... If you guys can get a 40 year old all the way from 'Barnet in Hertfordshire ' hooked you must be doing something right 👍👍🇬🇧🏴📺🎬
This was sooooo iconic for those that grew up with them. Also was excited Em gave part of his set time to 50 and Anderson Paak on the drums for Em was awesome af
Totally reminds me of the best concert ever performed that I used to listen to while smoking when I was younger, over and over again. The Up In Smoke Tour 2001.
Jennifer Lopez & Shakira was good as hell; Prince; Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers; The Rolling Stones; Bruno Mars & Beyonce; Janet Jackson & Justin Timberlake.
Y'all got to do more 50 Cent! He has some underrated classics. I think "Places to Go" off of the 8 Mile soundtrack would make a great reaction video. Love the content as always, fellas!
Prince and Michael Jackson, both, are up there in the 3 greatest Super Bowl Halftime shows EVER! (Along with this one). (In my honest, personal opinion). Definitely recommend checking the other two out!
This was my fav!!! I heard the sound in the stadium was horrible but watching from the house it was great, brought back all my teen years!!! Danced the whole time!
And By The Way..Prince’s Halftime Performance At The Super-Bowl In Miami In The Pouring Rain..WAS THE BEST EVER! Talk About Perfect As He Started Singing Purple Rain , It Started Raining Even Harder!
This was sooo great!!! Every since the NFL signed a contract with ROC NATION in 2020, we’ve gotten such good Super Bowl halftime shows!!! This one was no different.
