People aren't closing their accounts because of pronoun badges they're closing them because of Halifax's attitude. It's not down to banks or anyone else to dictate what people should believe in or agree with, the bank told people to leave so they are, it's that simple. Let's hope a lot of people close their accounts it might teach them and Andy M in particular who wrote the tweet a lesson in humility.
They didn’t dictate anything. They stated the obvious. People are free to bank anywhere they want. I don’t think that anything extreme. It’s a name badge. Don’t people have better things to do.
@@whatsreallyhappening5669 when the harms from these things come to light, you want to brush them under the carpet. I already know your position on grooming gangs and everything else just from this drivel you posted. You are a part of the problem.
@@jamesscottvideos some people are different. This is a little like going back 50 years and how people used to treat gay people. I can count on one hand the amount of trans people I have met. I don’t go into my bank and say excuse me sir miss madam. I say hello. Or excuse me: I really can’t see how this will affect anyones life. With all the stuff going on to be thinking about this thing that really doesn’t affect 99% of the population is crazy.
I am an homosexual man but I detest the thought of being shunted into one of these awful boxes "Gay" (first talked of in Brighton in the late (post '67) bars and clubs), or "LGBblah-blah", a most odious concept. I have never suffered discrimination for being openly a partner of another male and sincerely believe that parading with a "club title" does more harm than good. As for "Trans"!!? For god's sake, whatever your cup of tea, you are either male or female; not what your fantasies of mutation inspire you to call yourself. Full stop!
It’s such a retrospective time we live in. People used to fight against being put in boxes. Now they are screaming out to be categorised. I find it all a little tedious and narcissist. Not to mention self defeating
@@dragonfox2.058 There are too many categories under "trans". Transvestism Transgenderism Transsexualism India Willoughby hasn't admitted to being born intersex/DSD. In fact as a man, Willoughby fathered a child, so had normal functioning male reproductive organs. One young man named Ritchie is suing the NHS for giving him a sex change, which he now regrets, which he had done because he couldn't come to terms with his homosexuality. This is a contentious subject, but I believe people like Willoughby haven't come to terms with their sexuality, perhaps because of religious reasons, but I know from what I've read of Willoughby's interviews that Willoughby was disgusted when looking at himself in the mirror before his sex change. It's different if a person is intersex/DSD and has corrective surgery to remove one set of reproductive organs to look more like the person they feel they are. The best thing about the original Pride movement was to get people to feel comfortable about being in their own skin, accepting their sexuality and that they are wired differently. Pride has since been hijacked by people with fetishes etc. who seem to go out of their way to be as outrageous as possible with indecent public acts which also involve children and people like Willoughby who insist they are real women and would scream "transphobe" at any lesbian for refusing to have sex with her. It's little wonder there's now a break away movement called the LGB Alliance that avoids membership of all the other letters that follow B in the LGBT+ movement. An alliance that is willing to accept biological sex matters and is immutable.
Pronoun sign, nickname badges??😁 Be Hungarians, there are no gender-bound pronouns!!! And they don't even use the adjective Mr. or Mrs. XD... So the super-hetero Hungarian helps where he can!!😁😁😁😁
It just means you address someone how they would like. Take a minute and think about what'd going on in this country and further abroad. You my friend are being brainwashed by people who want you to care about the minutiae rather than what really is important.
Stonewall was once a highly respected institution , no longer. As you can see from this conversation between these guests one is calm, dignified and is just trying to have a proper discussion the other is just trotting out the usual everyone is anti trans rhetoric and people are getting fed up with it. Stonewall should have stayed with the LGB and not got involved with the T!
Well they achieved what they set out to achieve didn't they, regarding gay rights. If they didn't jump on the trans bandwagon, then that would have been the end of them, and the wedge flowing in to their coffers.
@@andrewcheadle948 i reckon you’ve got it in a nutshell, they’ve had a good living out of it in the latter years, they had to find something else to bang the drum about, keeping the money rolling in.
@@andrewcheadle948 really you think there was nothing left for them to do? You know we are killed around the world? That homophobic attacks still happen, that families aren't always accepting of their lesbian or gay child? That we are still chucked out of home and made homeless? Never mind the institutional homophobia of the police that lead to further murders of young gay men...all this gone and sorted is it? They had plenty to do but they chose to abandon LGB in favour of gender ideology and right now there is an absolute need for an LGB organisation to protect and support young LGB people being pushed into transing away the gay. There are growing numbers of young lesbians being harmed by gender ideology leading to irreversible physical damage, so please don't think job sorted just because Stonewall has decided to chase the cash cow that is the multi trillion dollar gender industry because it really isn't.
Right, so conform to our ideological narrative or you are banished? Hmmm… I think there’s a name for that and it’s facism. That’s why this new religion is so insidious.
@@pershorefoodbanktrusselltr3632 No what they have said is if you don't like their policy you can bank somewhere else. What happens if all banks do this. Antiwoke bank for dinosaurs. How often do you visit your bank? For me about 18 months ago. Surly it just makes life easier. No awkward moments if you are met in your bank where one isn't sure what to call someone. If this boils your tank you obviously don't read the news. Try getting a life and invest in what really is important. Fascism it most definitely isn't.
I do not appreciate India Willoughby appropriating female terminology and rights or black peoples terminology and rights as I'm both and he is neither!
I found this India character highly inappropriate with the sexist 'ladies come first' terminology, especially when bleating about equality and discrimination. Thoroughly unpleasant individual.
This interview couldn’t have highlighted the gay guys argument any clearer. He was calm and try to hold a conversation whilst the other interviewee was just repeating the normal rhetoric and trying to shout him down.
what about heterosexual pride, why are the minority more important than the majority , in my opinion do what you want but i think that shoving this down kids and peoples throats at every opportunity is totally wrong and perverted
Ms Plastic Surgery here says that it's not just Gay Pride but pride for all those included in the "+" at the end. If that's the case then why not just make it a Pride celebration of being a human being and everyone can participate? If they're so open and inclusive then why not just have pride that everyone can celebrate?
India Willoughby is a very angry person. It is not healthy to even try to communicate with angry people. I suggest anger management sessions. India, your problems are yours, please stop taking your frustrations out on other people.
I walked into Halifax in Yeovil today and was looked up and down and then asked with one word "YES???" I turned and left without a word. Is that any worse than being greeted in Nat West with "HI" as they wait for an answer in the form of your question. Lack of breeding, lack of education, parents having spent all the child's formative years wrapped up in their mobile telephones?? Oh and by the way, on leaving I am not "Mate" nor am I, now in Somerset, "Buddy" I am MISTER CUSTOMER!! and I pay your wages little girl/boy/experiment!!!!
Remember the phrase 'Good morning. How may I help you?'? Standards have dropped so badly in Britain. A bank "manager" recently started addressing me as Tom even though my account name is Thomas Marshall. I asked 'who is Tom? To which he replied with a grin 'you innit'. Unbelievable.
Good on you my friend. Courtesy costs nothing. On a different note I walked into a breakfast room at a hotel yesterday and said to the two people sat there for breakfast ..'good morning'! I received hardly a glance and no response at all. So I said 'GOOD MORNING' again. One responded the other just ignored me. I thought 'stuff you matey'!. As you say people's ignorance is astounding. A nice start to the day - NOT!
What happened to hello, how can I help you? We all have a bad day now and then but if you work in customer service you don’t let it show, you have to paste on a fake smile and act like you’re happy to be there
I bank with the Halifax and I find my branch very helpful, the staff are courteous and efficient. Good managers run a good business. I do agree not all branches of banks are as good.
There will be a good opportunity for a bank that doesn’t do all of this. That India one is an angry liar. Lesbians and women have been specifically targeted by this insanity.
It's virtue signalling. End of. As a customer, you wouldn't use a pronoun to speak to someone. You say "Hello Gemma." Not "hello she." Only if you speak to someone else, about that person, would you use a pronoun. And that's extremely unlikely.
Why do heterosexuals not have a month to celebrate their sexuality, oh I know we don't think we are any more special than anyone else, it's ridiculous that the alphabet people celebrate their sexuality for a whole month and then they wonder why the majority are getting fed up with it. Be gay, be trans, be who you want to be but do it quietly like we all do. Halifax will regret their rude message to customers, some people don't care about made up pronouns but when their bank says accept it or leave, then leave is exactly what thousands will do.

First rule of business: never get involved in politics because you are guaranteed to piss off the half of your customers that don't agree with your politics, whatever they are, keep your mouth shut and sell to everyone.
If a bank teller, for instance, is wearing a dress, makeup, etc. and has a name badge "Jennifer", do I need to be told what pronoun to use? The person is clearly identifying as female and I will address her as such. Anything else is disingenuous.
@@snowflakemelter1172 Well, technically you can. I mean, I could "identify" as a dinosaur. It doesn't mean I am a dinosaur, just that I'd like to be one. Come to think of it - that's not a bad idea!
But the real issue is that you won't be using pronouns when you talk to that person. You'll either not call them anything as you talk to them face to face, or if you're a name-badge reader you might call them by name. You wouldn't use pronouns unless talking about them to a third party, and that in itself is rude. As my mother used to say if someone called her 'she' in her presence, 'she' is the cat's mother, so refer by name please! Hence, pronoun badges are complete nonsense.
It was the arrogant tone of the press release; ie: 'if you don't like our values then f*** off' that made me do just that yesterday, and close my account.
If I was a bank manager, I'd wait until all the other banks went woke, then advertise as 'The Bank Of Turf'. I't turn Halifax's into Ice-cream parlours or public toilets or whatever TF I'd want.YAY!
I don't think they are. Just address people how they would like. Not a biggie is it really. Have a think about what's really important right now and I would say it's about no.2537.

The relentless rise of Autogynophiles controlling even our speech, pregnant people, chest feeding, using the word woman is a hate crime.Get a grip & open your eyes.

Bloody stupid - the world has gone mad, and nobody has any common sense anymore.....if I still had a mortgage with Halifax, I’d move, no question about that !
That guy with make up is completely deluded. what IS he talking about? what do straight men in dresses have to do with gay or lesbians? Absolutely nothing.
That was bizarre. A fake host presents a 'woman' with a very deep voice to argue about pronouns, but there isn't enough time to have a discussion. It's like a circus. .🤣
Absolute bollox. You're born a man your a man regardless if you want to identify as a woman, a table or a truck. I don't care, just stop with the crap about vilifing me for not agreeing with you.
Bravo. It must be a real hassle to change direct debits etc and I think that’s what these arrogant teenagers who must have come up with this nonsense were banking on (no pun intended). I hope many more people go through the inconvenience and teach Halifax a lesson.
@@m.p.7075 If you ‘switch’ to another bank, they do all the changes for you, so no hassle over direct debits, standing orders or regular incoming payments, such as salary, pension, etc.
Halifax can bloody well stop messing about with my right to be a Woman and addressed as MRS! I agree with Simon Fanshaw 100%! This whole debate has gone too far now, i and many females like me are pissed off , we are slowly being marginalised to make way for these transformers. Listen i don't care what you wear, what you call yourself, unless you have a uterus you are not a bloody woman! Now piss off, i'm sick of it!
Pronouns have nothing to do with being gay as it’s all about controlling how others view you. The belief in trans ideology requires you to deny the existence of sex and homosexuality making it a homophobic belief.
Wow you are really investing in something that isn't really a big deal. Hope you are advocating for public service pay rises, bigger taxes on the richest 1%,taking the poorest people out of poverty? One can only hope

99% people use pronouns to refer to biological sex, not gender. Outside of trans people as an exception and out of respect, there is no utility in referring to someone's gender in conversation. Pronouns take place of someone's name in discussions so we distinguish them from others - how someone feels in their head about their gender is of no benefit for me when choosing my words.
I used to like India but the more attention she gets, she seems to be getting carried away on the woke trans ideology’s. I’ve listened to her a lot and she never used to speak like this. I also don’t agree with her saying ladies should go first, that’s not equality! Genuine question. Can someone please explain to me how a Trans woman can be a lesbian, surely that’s a heterosexual man.
If the person from Stonewall had any idea just how badly she came across in this interview. But it was like some invisible forcefield that prevented the guy well reasoned and calm point penetrating that impenetrable mindset. The irony that she said "If i could get a word in" when it was she that kept interrupting just shows how they just won't listen to an alternative opinion
India Sillybilly is not from Stonewall. He represents only himself. He's an angry, nasty, unpleasant character who hates anyone who disagrees with his warped point of view. Stonewall are responsible for so much bad stuff these days. Simon Fanshawe was a founding member but doesn't subscribe to the way they operate now. They are capturing major organisations and getting huge sums of money in funding. They're dangerous!
