I love how Geddy didn't strive to be center of attention the whole time despite his reputation for being a very active bassist. Truly a humble guy, doesn't need to be the center of attention, and he knows when to just calm down to fitting and more or less basic bass lines. Though, I did notice he added more of his own flair once Alex started soloing, maybe just because he knows how he plays and knows how to accent it accordingly? Either way, I was really glad to see he wasn't glorifying his own playing.

I mean this is the most badass jam in RRHOF history, but can we give some props to the fact that there is only ONE BASS PLAYER laying down some mad science?! Damn Geddy Lee is a monster!
@rogerhickson7256

Its great how Geddy picked up the beat from the rap and started jamming. Music just flows through the guys veins. What a talented bunch! Of course Tom Morello has to push the envelope and play a guitar solo that nobody else could copy if they tried. The man is always on the cutting edge. Too cool!

This is all about appreciating a once in a lifetime combination of artists in a sort of pot luck combination. Important thing for me is that John Fogerty is the big legend on this stage which is probably missed by a lot of people. He was a one man band Rock GOD hit machine before a lot of the others were even a dream in their mother's heart. He can play ALL the instruments and get the hits on his own.
@buckcubmandingo6772

Very true. He didn't play a solo because he didn't want to expose the rest of them as journeymen

Fogerty was easily the oldest guy up there but it is amazing how well preserved his voice still was.

Alex Lifeson is criminally underrated as a guitarist. He was easily the best axeman on stage that night.

Amazing Jam!!.... but it really shows to me how Alex Lifeson is one of the most underrated Guitarists ever...... from this song Crossroads to La Villa Strangiato to Overture..... and many other songs he plays..... he is just beyond amazing in style and technical ability.... as good as anyone ever..... in my opinion..... like Dave Grohl said.... he is a Guitar God...

A few of the dopest moments EVER. As Einstein said, a second on a hot stove feels like an hour, but an hour with a beautiful woman feels like a second. I think this the latter ... "Relatively" speaking! Unity within the discipline of art transcends so much, learn and live my friends!

Holy crap! How have I never heard this before? Just EPIC; multiple music heroes all on the stage at once. I can't believe it. And incorporating the rap properly and respectfully too, it's a shame that part might be lost on a lot of people here. Chuck D is as much of a legend as Rush, the Wilson sisters, Morello, Fogerty, the lot. Every one of those people pulled their weight here, and the song turned out beautifully. I would love to see stuff like this done more often, with REAL musicians spanning multiple genres coming together to celebrate our musical history over the past century.

@@deadstar44 Best reply. Rush was in their prime when I was in High School. Most of these musicians I heard of however only a 3 I listen to on a regular basis. Together they all kicked ass and represented themselves well.

Chuck D, as much of a legend as Rush & the Wilson sisters ? YOu just let the whole world know that you know absolutely NOTHING about music, especially Rock n Roll. What a moronic statement.

Here because of Rush, Huge Fan of Rush but Chris Cornell had more impact on me during this performance. The voice is incredible. Angelic. He has a lot of Charisma. A Genius. The sadness in his eyes while he was singing so beautifully hit me hard. An incredible talent but his eyes had a vulnerability to me that broke my heart! RIP Brother!
